I forgot my phone in a shop in Dubai, I went back there hours later and it was still there.

My gfs ATM card fell off her wallet while we were holidaying in Finland. A good person who found it, returned it to the bank.

These are only a few lost and found cases I cab . I don't know about the US because I haven't been there yet.
