To create sparkles on Texts and Pictures follow this guide:
Text: find an image with the best sparkles and create a clipping with the text to create a clipping mask place the text below the image layer, right click on the image layer and select Create Clipping Mask. Adjust the position of the image to your preference.
Image: just follow the same steps for Text.

Hi, I'm a system analyst but as things go, I was told to design a template for certificate to be used by my institution.
I decided to create based on academic certificates so, I went online and got elegant yet simple designs like Yale, Bath and university of Bradford's samples.
I used Microsoft Word to design and I know I can also use publisher for that.
But the problem is I was just told that a security feature of tiny repeated watermark of the name should be all over the certificate like the image I'll attach.
Please which application software do I use and a bit of help on the steps.
I'm to present on monday by 9am.

Thanks for posting you can use Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw to create multiple watermarks on your images the steps are easy you just type the text, select your preferred font-face and font-size then you reduce the alpha or opacity of the text and duplicate it to your preference. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply but I actually got it sorted out yesterday.

I used Adobe Indesign.
Created two layers, I filled up the base layer with text I wanted as watermark used very small font size(3pt) then set transparency to 27%.
I then designed the certificate on the upper layer and merged them.
Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier.

The only issue is I couldn't get to make the watermark text wavy like in the image I posted above but all in all, I can't wait to present this morning.

Ok, Am using the latest Photoshop CC to explain
So here are the steps
Step 1: open the picture you want to edit
Go to File and click on Open
It will show the pictures in a specified folder in your computer you can change the folder if that not where u put the pics u want to edit

if the Photoshop is opened already u can drag the picture into it

Step 2: You will have to make a selection of the part u want i.e the part you wanna edit, am using the picture of a car as an example.
There are many tools you can use make selections, depending on your level of understanding how it works
the tools include:
Lasso tool
Magnetic lasso tool
Polygon lasso
Quick selection tool
Magic wand

In this tutorial we will make use of Magnetic lasso tool and Quick Selection tool

Note: To open the tray to display tool apart from the one u use last,right click on it, not left click o

[b]Step 3:[/b]Choose Magnetic lasso,Magnetic lasso tool have to ability to differentiate color, so it easy to use.
Start by marking your selection at the edge or any where u want to make selection

Step 4: After you have reached where you started the icon of the mouse will change and the lines will and form a selection,

When you are using magnetic wand, Dont waste time or else it will the selection itself where ever you are even if you havent completed it, so be fast with it

Note: if it create a node(those little rectangular boxes along the line you are creating) you dont want you can use Backspace delete the node, you can create your node too by clicking

Step 5:
After you have make your selection, the line have changed to dat above,
press Control J - make new layer
it will copy your selection to a new layer
