Agreed, every ATM have camera to take photograph of every person uisng it. But what I dont know is who gave him your PIN. He couldnt have withdrawn your money without your PIN.

common mehn, the ATMs have inbuilt cameras that take snaps of your activity on the machine and time stamped and they are stored in the computer memory for retrieval whenever needed.

It is possible if the card was stolen at a gun point. You will be temporarily kidnapped, ask for your pin while they go to the bank to withdraw your money. If you have enough money, you will be kept for many days to withdraw your daily limit everyday. It happened to one of my friends.

How can you tell that the bank erroneously gave money to a thief?

Do you know if the customer gave out her card and PIN?

I believe you also know that cases of stealing are crimes that are reported to and investigated by the police. You dont`t release a security footage to a customer for her to share on social media

Nope, they distract you somehow and switch the card and then you try to put pin in the fake one, it won't work. They just stand by like concerned citizens and watch you punch in your pin time and time again noting the numbers you are punching in. When you leave, you take the fake card with you. They have your original and the pin.
Then they go on withdrawal spree.


OR
They rob you and take pin from you on a weekend night. Through out the weekend, the go withdraw as much as they can before you go report the case on the first working day of the week.
