A former Minister of Education and member of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, has said Nigeria's unity is negotiable and if Nigerians find it difficult to live together in peace, the component units should find it convenient to go their separate ways. Abdullahi made this known on Tuesday in Abuja during the public presentation of two books: Boko Haram: The Charade vs Reality and The Life and Times of Umaru Turakin Bauchi, written by a former Diplomatic Editor of the Voice of America and now visiting Professor in ABU, Zaria, Hadiza Wada.At the presentation during his speech, Abdullahi also called on the Federal Government to fight the Niger Delta Avengers before fighting of the Boko Haram sect. http://dawntodusknews.com/nigeria-can-split-if-unity-isnt-possible-ex-minister-ango-abdullahi/ 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Just when Government and these youths are working out solution out of this mess, some mumu on both side of divide will be dumping stupidity on it. Who cares what this man thinks? Turning book launch to another unsolicited advice. Some people just like trouble. Whenever they see peace coming from afar, they will be throwing stones at it. 25 Likes 2 Shares |

Prof. Ango Abdullahi, has said Nigeria's unity is negotiable and if Nigerians find it difficult to live together in peace, the component units should find it convenient to go their separate ways. If Lord Lugard made a mistake in 1914, let’s correct it now. Why not? If Nigerians cannot live together and allow peace and development to take place, then let’s go our different ways and to our different places, so we can concentrate and develop our children and grandchildren in peace. This man really made a lot sense in his earlier averments but dark sentiments wouldn't make those who have been clamouring for the above most to commend him. He spoke the gospel truth here. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Journalists still remain the greatest threat to the unity of this nation with all these their useless headlines that always leave the main matter and pick something else. Anyway he said we can consider separating and I don't think it's a bad idea. This should be the headline instead. 3 Likes |

This man is drunk....NDA are fight for "our oyel" they say but what are the BH fighting for? BH are just a group of brainwashed religious and ethnic bigots but dt doesn't mean I the NDA, they too are just jobless youth fighting for their pockets but saying NDA is worse is a no no no. On the issue of Restructuring dt ll be better and each region can take care of her people. My region and state ll love this as well... we have got nothing to lose 1 Like |

Does it mean that human lives is less of importance compared to pipelines? Security of human lives is the basic tenet of good governance and must be seen as sacrosanct. 1 Like |

Huh... who doesn't know Ango and his hate induced tribalism and egoistic veneration of his ethnicity. In all majors both of them have done evil, but in no way does Niger Delta Militancy see the brake light of the devilishness of Boko Haram. Is it in number of human lives laid waste? Is it in number of displaced families? Is it in economic hardship caused to the people? By the way the budget to take care of the IDPs caused by Boko Haram is almost equal to National Budget so economically speaking BH has drawn us decades back. NB not to defend or hype any... but eziokwu bu eziokwu. only if eligible and ready for marriage and Igbo, for the HIV section from anywhere you can . Like my fbook page 3 Likes 1 Share |

Even though he had been making sense all along, his very last statement that if you won't fight the avengers then you shouldn't fight BH gave him away. How can you say such when BH is causing serious humanitarian crises and have killed tens of thousands in the north? At least the NDA have a case (perceived injustice in the ND). What can he say BH claims to be maiming people for? And this guy is supposed to be a professor! The northern religious leaders and their elites (both literate and otherwise) pose the biggest challenge to that region with their senseless utterances. God forbid! 14 Likes 2 Shares |
