Maybe you don't understand what subsidy means.

It meant that the government was paying more for petroleum Products than the price in the international market.

Now that the price of oil is very low, the subsidy is automatically non existent. It's not a policy decision.

If and when oil recovers to the 50s or 60s, the government would have no choice but to continue SUBSIDIZE it again or increase the pump price accordingly.

This subsidy issue is one of the false propaganda and lies that this government continues to hawk to the Nigerian people.
