Rochas as an Ideato-Orlu man knows the importance of that drainage. His community is a stone throw from Orlu urban and his understanding of the area as well as the effect of Ndi-Ideato being cut off completely from the road made him carry out some constructions within Orlu. Some of the constructions where borne out to mordenize Orlu, while others were to tame the future ecological problem. However, the road constructions of the government are yet to be completed and may be a major reason why the urban drainage system is yet to kick start or so.
But, regardless of the approach taking so far by the IMSG, I think Ndi-Orlu must come together and formally schedule a meeting with Douglas house. Let them sensitize their people on this matter, draw up a conclusion and present it before Rochas. Maybe, and maybe a useful action will be drawn through this part.

No civil servant is owed in Imo State. Pensioners yes. There was issue with health and some parastatals but it has been settled and they were paid everything owed including December salary ahead of time. They were equally given 3 weeks holiday.

My reasons is simply to prove that mandax has been lying by claiming the road was good and Okorocha came to scrape it. The road was completely cut off by the time Okorocha came on board. I was a regular visitor to IMSUTH and at a point the road broke down completely.

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has urged civil servants in the state to be more committed and dedicated to their duties as it remains the only key to success and promotion. The Governor gave this charge at the end of the year’s assessment programme organized for Government House staff at the Banquet Hall in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

He maintained that his government will remain committed to the welfare of workers and as such all salaries of workers up till December has been paid.

The Governor however rewarded the best Government House staff with a brand new car and one million naira.

The Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government, Uche Nwosu, in his welcome address also explained the aim of the programme. Okorocha charged them to be more committed to their duty as there is always a reward for dedication and hard work.

The high point of the event was the presentation of a car gift and one million naira to the best Government House staff, Mrs Blessing Ogbuefi, from the security unit. While receiving the gift, she thanked the state government for their magnanimity and appreciating her commitment to duty over the years.

The event helps to motivate and boost morale of workers in the Government House to be more dedicated to their various duties.

IMSUTH is as good as dysfunctional in the last four months, but it is the only establishment by Imo state government which brings a Naira into Orlu and environs.

Okorocha came to office, instead of completing the IMSUTH, he invested in building other 27 General Hospitals hoping to equip all of them.

Outside IMSUTH, Okirocha built two diagnostic centres people believe could have increased the profile of IMSUTH.

In four-and-half years and running, Okorocha refused to have a motorable road to lead to IMSUTH.

Doctors and other health workers at the teaching hospital who were absent when the deputy Governor paid emergency visit to the hospital were the ones having issues and should not be pitied. They have however been paid recently. It is only in Nigeria that someone will not work and after spending all months in his private clinic will claim he is being owed. Things are not done that way. With the successful concession of health sector, any truant automatically loses his job as private managers only pay or retain you when you work.

My In laws who works with ministry of Agric, two of them, have not received November Salary not to talk of December. This is happening as at yesterday.
What the guy is doing is selective payment, after which he now generalizes everybody, is that not callousness
Even the Diamond Bank October Cheque he gave them bounced like 3 times and they were forced to withdraw the Cheque back to the Govt House.
