Much has been made of President Buhari's recent appointments. Some see them as being nepotism, with him giving a majority of the appointments so far to Northerners. In response to this some have defended by saying that under Jonathan the Northerners were also not given a fair shot at key positions. This list below totally debunks that. It shows that whilst Jonathan had many failings nepotism and traibalism was not one. GEJ ran an inclusive government, and we onish Mr President to do the same. Competence, ability and integrity is not the sole preserve of any one region. You should have a government that reflects the diversity of the great nation of Nigeria. List of Northerners appointed under GEJS government Vice President -North. Namadi Sambo Kaduna State Senate President –North. David Mark Niger State Speaker House of Reps - North. So. What is the fuse about PMB appointment all about then? Let him appoint those that have a good record and he feels can get the job done. After all, should he appoint anyone with a bad record or corrupt record, you guys will be the first to make fun of his anti-corruption campaign 79 Likes 3 Shares |

This is misleading. Classify each appointee as follows: NW NE NC Parradang for example is from Plateau state in the NC. Just an observation. 36 Likes 3 Shares |

I think some of you above are missing the point or are deliberately being smart by a half. GEJ had appointments for people from all over the country but he never cornered posts to one region as we are now witnessing. The above list is that of only Northerners to show they were not being marginalised as is being claimed in some quarters.

The North is over 70% of Nigeria's land mass, over 60% of the population, and has the highest number of states. What's the complaint.

Let's be sincere with ourselves the Northerners are the most honest, trustworthy and Loyal tribe in Nigeria they are the set with the least amount of criminal tendency. An averageNorthern cares a lot about the integrity of his name infact take away the occasional religious crises the North is the best in Nigeria.

BMedia: If the above was of political relevance then they would have been able to win elections without the aid of other regions. The North only came to power with the of other regions. These regions and the keys players etc Tinubu, Amaechi and others have now been abandoned. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

AlPeter: You either don't live in Nigeria or are very young or you don't know anything about Nigerian history. 1. Your first point is an insult to every other tribe in this nation of over 170 Million. Implying they lack integrity and honesty 2. There is nothing "occasional" about religious crisis in the north. As a matter of fact it is the most regular event in the north. I've lived in the north long enough to know. 129 Likes 10 Shares |

Krucifax: How can you say they have been abandoned when the appointments made are less than 20% of the total? The constitution provides that each state MUST produce a minister so your point is baseless. The only thing that might happen is that SE states might get junior ministers. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

If only GEJ had carried the south-west along, things would have been different. Don't blame the Yorubas, we cried and begged then but GEJ neglected us...We gat no choice than to throw him out. Buhari will perform I have no doubt but his Appointment ain't speaking well for him so far, Nigerians should exercise patience for the Ministerial list 8 Likes 3 Shares |

BMedia:you did not get my posts anyway if PMB wants to deliver non oil revenue for fed. govt it is not a problem but it will be an issue if he cannot sell the idea to industrial investors and notably the line of thought he is perceived to portray will hit back at the north in the long run! (that is I am commenting on your line of thought that PMB is looping development solely to the north) |
