Do you have a thing for Tinubu? There are many APC and ers here on NL that can connect you to him if you so desire.

You seem to be defending Ekweremadu seat than ing Saraki. The meaningful these men need is from the people that control the powers for their possible dethronement.

You can stay on NL 24/7 defending them it wont matter if and when the people that can remove them decide to do so.

Empty noise!!!so what is stopping the people who can remove them from doing so ?
MrCounselor: 10:59am On Aug 01, 2015
Anyhow, we need any resolution that will favour Nigerians.
If na to whisk Saraki out or to uphold him, anyhow.

Because they suffered and learned a lot in the process of having the power. They are, probably, thinking of the legacy they will leave behind. Speed does'nt always bring success.

Will you vote in the Senate?

Will APC Governors vote?

Will Buhari vote?

Can't you see that 49 PDP Senators, 3 Kwara State APC Senators and the APC Senators of nPDP extraction have disdain for APC leadership.

It's unfortunate you are still living in Obasanjo's (1999 democratic experiment) era. Nigeria has moved on, with Tambuwal HOR Speakership including defection, party leadership was helpless hence APC leadership has no say in the Senate.

Two times APC Leadership decided, thrice the Senate disgraced them. 75% Senators against Mr President and Tinubu is a frantic statement unless you want to set Nigeria on fire.

Your so-called banana peels formula failed when Tambuwal presided over HOR for four complete years.
Your understanding of Nigeria politics is lacking in depth, and if you are a good student of history ,you will know that history always repeat itself, and when it comes to politics there is no permanent foe or friend but permanent interest, and all the so call Saraki's er can switch allegiance at the right price
Realist2: 11:09am On Aug 01, 2015
The earlier APC forget about Saraki/Ekweremandu and move forward the better for them, bending on removing the dual,is creating more acrimonious lapses and pile up APCship disdainity that would make more senators to be sympathetic to Saraki/ Ekweremandu, knowing that in every struggle in the house, there is an interest of 2019.

Dat lad called chukwudi44 is usually a partisan &myopic individual. He lacks class or unbiased opinion about any political phenomeneon in Nigeria.

I wonder why he acts so illogical, must hv bn a very small boy or a deliquent adult then.

Tinubu's lackeys and their media collaborators like The Punch should keep fooling themselves.

We all know that the frivolous allegations would take the mischief makers nowhere...

Saraki and Ekweremadu are on this for the long haul. The vote of confidence ed on the Senate leadership some days ago should guide those swimming against the tide on the futility of their effort.
the earlier you come to with nigerian polintrigues the better for you, i guess you are privy to what played out in the house of rep, a certain dogawa who was in gbajabiamila camp, the moment he was promised majority leader under dogara,s arrangement, he immediately switched loyalty, this is the true picture of a typical nigerian politician, it,s all about the money, saraki is bad for both pdp and apc, never trust a desperate man, traitors and back stabbing scheming people are never to be trusted, the way i see saraki, i,ll tag him a free lancer, saraki is with pdp today cos it,s convenient for him who knows what will happen when the tide change?

Saraki is the only stumbling block we have now, that man should resign from his duty........ Over ambitious leaders could be very harmful to over democracy

What is the difference between Saraki and Buhari, is it their names?
Didn't Buhari form unholy alliances with the likes of Tinubu, Amaechi and other corrupt individuals and groups in order to clinch the top job of the nation, despite his 'holier than thou' disposition?
Didn't he threaten thunder and brimstone if he failed the election?

Was becoming the president of Nigeria his birthright?

So because Saraki chose to act to promote the independence of the Legislature he is now a devil.
Party decision my foot.

The APC failed to get the message ed to them and to the Executive by the Red Chamber this week.

It says 81 Senators out of living 108 senators ed a vote of confidence on Senate leadership.

What part of the resolution is ambiguous.

Saraki was voted by 52% and certified by 75% (a super majority) of the Senators.

History is a junk and is meant to be broken, improved upon and finally dump in the library for academic purposes.

We are dealing with experience and improvements in democratic governance and trying to do a catch-up with advance democracies in the world and you are here glorifying a bad precedence because you favour a political persuasion that is crumbling.

my bro GOD bless you for been very objective, i,ve been to kwara severally, apart from kwara hotel the state is nothing to write home about, when you go to ilorin GRA at the saraki residence, you will see a long line of people waiting to be fed with akara and koko(akamu) the juju that holds kwarans in bondage it will take the grace of GOD to break the spell, cos it,s a generational spell, the indigenes can only complain but can't do anything about it

The so-called report was what necessitated the call for a confidence vote.

What message are you finding so hard to digest? 75% of Senators are saying to hell with the so-called disputed senate rules which is entirely Legislative matters unless the executive is trying to swim inside the muddy waters.

Thank u guys, for ur unbiased analysis of what's on ground. Him, his fada and their cohorts set d state backward miles, even dat osun and ekiti dat was created ydai are obviously ahead of kwara. How come one man, one family, became so powerful in his state? Were the rest of the citizens sleeping or did they on their own, due to the high level of illiteracy there inadvertently sell their birthright to the oloyes? I heard you kwarans queue up at his gate to collect food rations. Why then are you trying to murder your benefactor?

What do you call forgery?

2015 Senate standing rule is an amendment to 2011 Senate Standing rules that started in 1999 and we have 2003, 2007 and 2011.

The controversy on who and how it is amended is not called Forgery and secondly a Senator can move a motion in the senate chambers (with of 67% of senators present) to set it aside hence it is purely an internal Legislative matter.

It will also interest you to note that the last senate sitting was still conducted with the same 2015 amended rules and no senator present challenged it nor called for its nullification.

Even Buhari that forged Cambridge statement of WASC result is walking free let alone an internal legislative standing rules amendment.

what do you mean by that, this is politics.

Tinubu is just trying to control the whole country in the name of working for the interest of Nigeria.

G5 played a vital role in the success of Apc, if he thinks he can use and dump them, he's only digging the grave.

They are still many of the national assembly who are loyal to G5, if things get worse, they will team up with PDP.

Saraki being the Senate president does not stop Pmb from discharging his duties.

or do you want to return us to an era where the house of assembly is just a rubber stamp of the presidency.

why do we have legislative arm, if they don't check the excesses of the executive

This is no news, they had always been divided. But sincerely, I don't see Saraki/Ekweremadu retaining those seats. If one doesn't go, both might forfeit their positions.
when he nhas over 80 senators that are lining and singing for him who do u think will touch him? As far as all the pdp senators are for saraki almost all former govenors in the senate are for saraki and jnust bt a few even less than 5 Apc senators are for saraki this 4 years in the senate is for sure,, even if they will conduct another election him saraki and ekweremadu will win with land slide victory...... So don't even deceive Ūя̲̅ self no 1 can do him anything the senators of the like minds have taken it.............. The govenors against them should go and hung transformer.. All previous rules and amendments as you acknowledged have known and verifiable sources. The '2015 rules' has embellishments with no record of the source nor anybody owning-up to its emergence.

Why will people create rules they cannot publicly claim authorship of? If they failed to own-up the document may stand orphaned thence forged.

There is nothing internal anymore in a rules that has been in use since 1999 and has undergone structured amendments to the end of the last Senate. The Senate does not belong to the Senators - it belongs to the people that part away with taxes that finance them.

They are answerable to the public. Much has been given to them and that comes with high level of responsibilities. If this forgery is allowed to stand then do not blame those of us down the rung that may choose to take after them.
