Kr0ne got it twisted. In the real greek mythology, ARES was the GOD OF WAR. Cratus( ps2 funkynized it to kratos) was one of the numerous sons of zeus who were concieved by mere mortals. But he was very strong just like hercules! Ps2 fabricated some of the story of KRATOS. If you've played the game, you'd know that the aim is to become the god of war.
