At the moment, General Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of Congress for Progressive Change ,C has no abode in Abuja.Newsdiaryonline learnt Buhari has been ejected from what used to be known as his residence at Asokoro, Abuja because he could not afford the N20 million required to renew the rent.Even after the rent was reduced to N15 million, the General still could not raise the fund.The house he was ejected from is located at number 11, Queen Elizabeth street ,Asokoro.

Investigations revealed that associates of Buhari made efforts to convince him to reach out to Umaru Almakura, Nassarawa state governor( who was elected on the platform of C ) so that he could offset the rent but Buhari refused to ask the governor for assistance.He would rather maintain his integrity than have the governor spend money on him.The C flagbearer chose to move his property to Kaduna as soon as it was evident he could not raise the money on his own.


Newsdiaryonline learnt that some of Buhari’s associates who wanted to avoid his ejection actually reached out to the owner of the property .And the landlord even agreed to slash the rent to N15million for the sake of the General .Sadly, he could not pay and he accepted the option of moving his property to Kaduna .Buhari is believed to have made up his mind to put up somewhere he can afford whenever he has something to do in Abuja henceforth.

But more interesting revelations unfolded upon further enquiry.Newsdiaryonline learnt even the two- year rent which became due for renewal was paid for by yet another retired senior military colleague.”I can tell you that it was General Theophilus Danjuma that even paid the initial rent for Buhari for him to move into that accommodation,”a source said in Abuja.

Initially,some observers felt all Buhari needed to do was just to let the presidency know about his predicament and help could come easily.But the General apparently didn’t think like that.Of course,it is understandable.His party ,C challenged the election of President Goodluck Jonathan until the Supreme Court recently affirmed Jonathan’s victory.

Buhari doesn't live in Abuja. He lives in kaduna and has a house there. He never felt the need to own a house in Abuja. The Abuja house I believe was rented for one year ( 20 million naira sounds far too much and is probably much lower even for Abuja houses) to cover the campaign period when he had to hold meetings and receive many people and generally stay in Abuja for long periods at a time. A hotel accommodation would be less satisfactory for that purpose hence the house. I believe that Buhari had no intention of retaining a rented house in Abuja and he had never moved from his own house in kaduna to  the rented house in Abuja. It was in my view only a temporary abode convenient for a particular moment in time - the election period, and even at that time he always went back to his family in kaduna where he spent more of his time.

So im guessing this old tired story is what that lame propaganda site dug up and tried to spin the story for whatever reason.

By looking for dirt in distilled water will amount to waste of time. If you read my response on the thread claiming PMB owns that house, it was a dismissive one. I never took it serious.

How possible is it that Buhari owns that mansion and PDP failed to bring such "killing news" out; not only during the electioneering campaign but even long before then. I mean, Buhari started running against PDP in 2003 and PDP cannot unearth all his supposed "stolen monies" and other properties within those twelve years. That shows either of two things:

1. That PDP is too dumb even beyond what we thought, to be incapable of revealing their "enemy's" loots.

2. Buhari is too smart (if we accept the report as true) even beyond our imagination to have hidden such mansion away for so long, that not a single news was told about it before now. IBB, the self-styled Maradona will grin with envy at this!
