A good political calculation in my opinion Dakuku is a decent guy that has made a name for himself in the House. Being a brother to Atedo Peterside, a friend of the President and PDP sympathiser, also makes it interesting.

That said, I'm not hopeful of PDP losing in Rivers in 2015.

If PDP brings someone from the Upland (eg, Wike), they will surely lose..

People from the Upland (Odili and Amaechi) have ruled for 16 years. The Riverine area has the next 16.
If PDP and APC brought an Uplander and APGA brought someone from the Riverine, APGA would win..

Whay has been a distant relative of Atedo Peterside got to do with it? Absolutely nothing.
I am not convinced about this choice. Abe seemed a more rugged politician. Wike is as rugged as they come. I doubt the gentleman conduct of Dakuku will survive the jungle that Wike is about to unleash. The election in Rivers state next year will make the wild west look Ike an edition of Barney or sesame Street. The worst thing pdpd did was allow Wike to hijack the state structure.
Dakuku is not a grass roots politician.

Where were does strong contenders when Wike was literally collapsing PDP structures into GDI?

You claim Rivers as APC state? 2015 will tell better. Even Amaechi couldn't withstand the heat after his first governorship election. He went on exile to Ghana with his family else he would be dragged like Tafa Balogun by Ribadu. It's this same Wike that fought his battle making sure he gets his mandate back.

As much as people might hate it, PDP will win Rivers state. If Wike gets the ticket, he is as good as home free. The Ijaws really don't have another choice in Rivers State, than wrestle the ticket away from Wike in PDP. That's the only game in town. ALL the Ijaws can vote for Peterside, and he will lose handily in Rivers.

Oyibo Local Govt won't vote Amaechi and his cronies. He built a refuse dump factory for them in the heart of the town and the people died with various health complications

What are you talking about? Opobo is part of the Ibani tribe which is also a subset of the Ijaw tribe. The language spoken is also Ibani which bears a lot of similarities with Kalabari and main Ijaw language. The Igbo spoken was as a result of oil trading in the olden days..

They played both sides and lost. I don't think Wike is dangerous, he is very politically astute. Amaechi and his crowd underestimated him.
