Nigeria Super Eagles yesterday failed 2 book a place in 2015 African Nations cup after finishing 3rd in Group A. Nigeria with 8 points could not qualifiy as best loser Team, as DR Congo finished with 9 points in the other Group 2 emerge d overall best loser team. Earlier post had been modified.

Nigeria Super Eagles yesterday booked a place in 2015 African Nations cup despite finishing 3rd in Group A. Nigeria qualified as best loser Team along side with DR Congo with 8 points while DR Congo finished with 9 points in the other Group. Egypt loss to Tunisia 2-1 was that result that helped Nigeria yesterday.

The Congolese went through as the best third place team from all the seven groups. The 1968 and 1974 champions sealed their place after Egypt were beaten 2-1 by North African rivals, Tunisia in the Group G clash in Monastir.

The qualified teams are Equatorial Guinea (hosts), Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia
