Paretomaster: Weldone! You are really a good teacher. How do one respond to "INA ZAKA/ZAKI?" And can one use "KAJE" in place of "INA"? |
Paretomaster(m): 11:27am On Oct 19, 2014 |
Kentnickole: Thanks for d compliment, d response to INA ZAKA/ZAKI depend on ur answer, u can say Zani gida = am going home Zani kasuwa= am going to d market. Zani makaranta= am going to skool. INA with a ? Mark means WHERE, without d? Mark can mean I AM. Wai en makaranta suna yajin aiki ne? Sun daina zuwa makaranta Translation = are the students on strike? The v stop coming to skool. |

Paretomaster: I once visited Nasarawa State, and they use it as a substitute for "INA?" most times. |
Paretomaster(m): 8:16pm On Oct 19, 2014 |
Kentnickole: Don't realy know about that, but note that Nasarawa is not a core Northern state, and majority are not Hausa there. |

Re: HAUSALAND: Teach Me Hausa by Nobody: 10:14am On Oct 20, 2014 |
gottoboy:Lol this is wrong, you can say "Muna gaisuwa" ="Greetings" or "we are greeting" "A gaisheku"= "greetings to you" As to reply I'd say "Muna amsa, da fatar ka tashi lafiya?" Meaning "Greetings accepted, I believe/hope you slept well" Lol Hausa is quite easy. |
