Well, there are many AI names that dropped today and are uned as we speak. Also, this is my routine and I'm able to reg with the other Registrars I use. Today being my very first time of using Name, com and it's a different maybe maybe story.

What happened here is totally different, the name was available at that instant, my order was processed and dropped and the name switched to at that very second, like instantly. Only Name, com can switch an available name that is processed with them to a in an instant, not someone else, who definitely needs some minutes to be able to pay and manage the domain before propagating such changes.

Edit - They reached out but they know when issues like this happen and you press to see evidence that a different truly snagged it, they could easily give you the "details cannot be released because of the 's privacy BS."

You will be amazed how many domainers are out there and sometimes we think we are the only ones who have spotted a "gem"

Next time you see a name you really like, use a fast registrar to avoid stories that touch.

From your screenshot timestamp, you ed the name 1:18pm whois records shows the name was regged 1:18:39secs

We can't tell which seconds yours was.

It's possible an order was already processed few seconds or milli secs before yours.

In domaining, 1sec matters, it is not negligible.

I use dynadot alot cos of their instant reg feature.

If you a name using instant reg vs normal reg on sane dynadot, the result differs.

Funnily it's sane price. I don't know if other registrar has these features.

I see a name I don't want to entertain stories, it's instant reg.

Free transfers up to 50 names is the major benefit. After you transfer, a year will be added to the expiration date.

Is it for a new only? Does pre-existing qualify?

Does anyone here have any experience with Ionos for domain registration?

Thanks for your input. I am well aware of the fact that many domainers are always on the hunt, as a result of that, we lose some names to one another... I also experience such. Just the day before yesterday, I lost a name through Z/com. As a matter of fact, my payment went through, my invoice was PAID but someone else snagged the name due to their slow processing (but we are talking of many minutes here), so I eventually gave them another name to in substitute for the name they missed. I didn't flinch about it cuz it happens.

But the name/com incident is totally different, the fact that the name was regged at 1:18:39 further buttress my point that it wasn't regged by someone else, cuz let's say I was 20 secs late (since another second after that turns 1:19PM), is it possible for the someone else to be able to manage the domain, set the price of $5647.65 in just 20 seconds?? NO! And don't forget that I caught the price updated on the domain at the very instant refresh of the order page, which was not even up to 3secs. Not to talk of the fact that there are more chances/probability of a positive <=39 in contrast to >20 for me.

I called my bank and they ascertained that the payment didn't fail, it was processed and auto-refunded instantly. Unfortunately, they could only provide me the hour and minute the payment hit my card (not seconds) which is also 1:18PM. Though, I've decided to let this slide cuz like I said they have to hold on to in their defense, but I am 99.99% sure my payment hit that domain first and that was what prompted name/com to it and keep it, the remaining 0.01% is just to for the fact that no human is perfect. Thank you.

My biggest single-payment sale so far this year.

Payout was also fast, by Afternic's standard. The payout was already in the bag in less than 48 hours from being notified of the sale. The platform seems to have improved generally, especially for Fast Transfer payouts.

All glory to God!

Domain Tip:

Check your landers regularly. I am finding non resolving names, landers that look different than chosen. Some are my errors, some are the people I use for landers. And this is not one company.

Every non resolving name, every time no chance to make offer or any type of extra step or friction reduces your ability to sell. Your responsibility to check, regardless of who's error it is. Its your name to sell

Thanks so much for the reply.
I can see that you don't use brandable marketplaces like Brandbucket and Atom (Squadhelp).
Is there any reason for that?

Sorry I didn't see the ED in your post. Thanks. And wow I didn't know you could get .ai for as low as that. The cost was always high when I tried to get one. Does it still cost the same at Dynadot? I just checked and still got $74.9.

It's not a .ai domain; don't own even one.

When you see "in king," it means .com - the "king" of domain extensions. The slashes separate the keywords.

Has anyone had a good experience with Name .com?

Just found out they currently have a promo, plus they seem to be ed for Afternic Fast Transfer. But the experience by AY and what I later read online make me somewhat hesitant.

I even discovered I ed an with them back in 2016. Never ed a single domain there but feeling like giving them a shot. Is it advisable, please?
