The Nigeria Technical and Vocational Education and Training TVET is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education established to train and equip Nigerian youths with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Through collaboration with certified training centers nationwide, the nigeria tvet monthly grant provides tuition-free training, monthly stipends, and start-up for selected trades in high-demand industries and sectors. Goals of The Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant The following below are the goals of the Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant: 1. The Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant is designed to close skills gap in Nigeria 2. The Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant is designed to empower the youth for self-reliance, independence and entrepreneurship 3. The Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant is designed to establish a pipeline of skilled workers for industries 4. The Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant is designed to promote national growth and development through vocational excellence The TVET Initiative offers two flexible training options to suit your background and goals: Training Options for the Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant Below are the training options available for the Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant: A. Short-Term Certificate (STC) Programme Duration: Six months Suitable For: 1. First-time trainees 2. School leavers 3. Individuals with no formal education background Entry Requirements: 1. Valid National Identification Number (NIN) 2. Valid Bank Verification Number (BVN) 3. No prior academic qualification needed 4. This track is created for individuals ready to learn a practical skill and enter the workforce quickly B. Vocational Education And Innovation (VEI) Programme Duration: 12 months Suitable For: 1. Individuals with some academic qualifications 2. Individuals with informal training experience, looking to deepen and formalize their skills. Entry Requirements Candidates should have any one of the following requirements for the Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant: 1. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – proof of skills acquired informally or through apprenticeship OR 2. First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) OR 3. Any form of non-formal education certificate (example, training from Non Governmental Organizations, religious institutions, nomadic education or community programs) Trainees under the Nigeria TVET Monthly Grant will receive training in the following skills below: 1. Electrical Installation 2. Welding and Fabrication 3. Painting, Decoration and Finishes (Interior Design) 4. Floor Cladding, Tiling and Interlocking 5. Brick laying, Blocklaying and Concreting 6. Network System Installation 7. Computer Hardware and GSM Repair and Maintenance 8. Social Media Communications 9. Creative Media (Digital Media Production) 10. Motorcycle and Tricycle Repair 11. Vulcanising and Tire Repair 12. Auto-body Works ( Beating) 13. Automobile Mechanic 14. Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning 15. Plumbing and Pipe-fitting 16. Woodwork, Carpentry and ery 17. Furniture making and Upholstery 18. Blacksmithing 19. Solar PV Installation and Maintenance 20. Automobile CNG Conversion and Maintenance 21. Mechanised Agriculture (Mechanics or Operations) 22. An earlier figure of 45,000 was mentioned as being given to TVET students monthly, but this figure was stated as incorrect. However, the confirmed amount the government will pay students monthly is 22,500. Seems pretty low. Nice plan on paper tho 1 Like 1 Share |
