6 months and counting since I applied for visiting visa, even my pp will expire in 3 month time and I need to renew it, agents are posting visa approval regularly while us that DIY don't know whether we are getting approval or not, I just pray I don't get denied after keeping my pp and documents for ages. I've sent several emails to know the situation of my application but no response. May God help us sha.

Emmanuel made a video about Brazil’s visa process, leaking many sensitive details and also spreading false information. Hold him responsible for all of this. As for the agents advertising visas on social media, most of them are fake. Be warned!

I want to ask if anybody knows how to make complain against the Brazilian Consulate. Because keeping port for over 6months for a visiting visa its not fair to us DIY.

I wouldnt see the need. Although I had such plan but I advised myself against doing so.

You will be shocked to know that Brazilian consulate could be on this platform. The fact is every applicant is a liar or fraud until proven not so, hence they would want to look out for new clues that people are using for them. So thats why I shake my head for some Youtubers. Content is good and cool but no be every cloth fits the sunrays.

Well what I can say is they give attention to urgency. For example student, genuine conference and if you can easily prove to them that your tourist visa is genuine. One of the things I believe they look at is your travel experience and submitted documents.

Why anyone is not talking about family reunion visa, as anyone here applied for family reunion and if got approved

Its quite slow now. Those that applied since January are still waiting. Someone applied in June, 2024 and got approved in March 2025.

Just recently, it appears that I submitted my visa application and documents without the manual visa application form and application receipts as instructed before I sent it to the Consular. Upon receiving my visa application and documents, the Consular Section then sent me an email that stating: Your visa application documents were received in our consulate without the mandatory manual visa application form. It is necessary that you fill out the manual visa application form herewith attached to this email for the continuation of your visa application processing.

Upon receiving that email from the Consular Section, I wasted no time to fill out the manual visa application form and I also include the application receipts as well. Afterward, I sent it through courier service again and it was received just yesterday.

So, my question is: will this oversight by failing to include manual visa application form or even more importantly my failure to include the application receipts will automatically means disadvantage of my application?

I will appreciate any suggestions or advice as at this stage.

How like to add that the first time that I sent my visa application and documents that i did attached this email stating:

The Consulate has added the following comment to your service 'VIVIS (Visit Visa) - short term visit (less than 90 days)':

To proceed with submitting your application, please send your documents via a courier service. Ensure you include a prepaid return bag, ports, and all other ing documents.

Please print and include this authorization message with your documents. to include proof of payment for the consular fees.

I also included the proof of payment for the consular fees that i attached to my initial visa application and documents.

There isnt any penalty whatsoever cos of the omission. Once your documents are genuine they have no reason to deny you. They usually send emails and reminders if there is an omitted or expired document.

A general info, what they check is the authenticity of both your documents and intention. Thats all. What they apply to either approve or deny is simple psychology. For example, someone that has been working for 10 years in a particular field is planning to go for MSc. in a totally different field will definitely raise a question cos they would want to know about the gap and the field swap.

I dont think that would be acceptable. I tried applying for my son's F before doing the online application to save time because we were waiting for his port to be issued. They turned it down. But if you are talking about applying by next week or so, then that is fine cos in the first place, you are expected to pay for ahead of sending in your application. My opinion though.

Its still one year but you are now expected to get into the country within 3 months of approval.

At least I know this for family reunion that there is a form being filled now that the recipient will travel within 3 months of approving the visa. Plus mind you a new Consular just resumed office recently and things have really changed at the moment.

My response was based on the new form.
