The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld Senator Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected Governor of Edo State, ruling that the election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was valid, News360 Nigeria reports.

In a judgment delivered on Thursday, the appellate court affirmed that Okpebholo was lawfully declared winner of the governorship election held on September 24, 2024.

Justice Mohammed Danjuma, who read the judgment, dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, describing it as lacking in merit. The court threw out the case completely.

Justice Danjuma said that both PDP and Ighodalo failed to establish miscarriage of justice in the judgment of the Edo State Election Petition Tribunal which had earlier dismissed the petition of the two appellants.

The court of appeal judgment is a unanimous decision of the 3-man of Justices of the court.

Ighodalo don't waste your time,
Supreme Court will judge the same thing..

The Courts know what they are doing!

They give the ruling party 5 judgements,, and then be sure to give the opposition 1 judgement...

That one judgement they give the opposition is very important.
So that they can say...

" When judgement favours you, you will say victory for democracy but when it goes against you you will say democracy is in danger"
grin

That one judgement they dash you is their "alibi"

They know what they are doing..

They have the whole judiciary system infested with their kwurupt lackeys..
All the judicial appointments you saw them make in the last ten years are for situations like this..
Head or tail, we a re screwed with these ruthless characters in charge..
The judiciary is gone..totally gone..
If it was in this regime that Peter Obi had his case at Anambra governorship tribunals, he will loose

Willingness to use money and consolidation of party structure and stakeholders gave APC victory in Edo State. The alleged irregularities being amplified in the media was not up to 10% of the entire polling units and there is no way such election can be cancelled by the court.

it is never about Obaseki but about 2027.

The want their party to be in control of Edo State and as many states as possible.

The fear of 2027 is so strong they want to control as many states.

Court!!!
And my judgement is Okpebholo carry on, no Lele. I rise!!!

I don't really know the substance of the case but it's obvious to the blind from day one that Okpebholo will win the case. Judiciary had not rock the boat of the executive since Tinubu entered. Hence, the issue is get INEC to declare you and the judiciary will do the rest. It's not about APC, it's about 2023 format.
Solido will be declared by INEC, his election will be challenged but, no matter the case, the court will still declare him winner
The book 'The Incorruptible Judge' opened my eyes to judiciary and behold it's not limited to Nigeria, even in the so-called saner climes it's there only not as much as our own.
Just pray never to be a victim of the wrong side of judiciary.

Nigeria politics can easily be plot on graph and slope calculated except you are either a politician or just being emotional. No new player among them, we already know their capacity both what they can really do and propaganda, their strength and weakness and their connectivity, so nothing spectacular anyone of them want to bring. But, when the masses are ready, we won't need to wait for any politician.

It is well
