The t issions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of the recently conducted 2025 UTME resit examination for candidates at centres impacted by technical glitches, News360 Nigeria reports.

The results indicate that of the 336,845 candidates rescheduled for the examination, 21,082 others were absent. No reason was given for the high absence of the candidates in the rescheduled examination.

The board released the results in a statement by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday morning.

It said, “Of the 336,845 who were eventually scheduled after isolated good sessions of the affected centres were excluded and their previously unverified candidates were added, 21,082 were absent.”

I know a candidate who got a call while in a bus travelling to Lagos. He stopped at Ore and went back to Anambra for the exam.

I know two candidates who had the exam at 9:00 AM but arrived at their centers at 12:00 PM and were not allowed to take the exam. One of them said he got the information on Thursday night, and waited for a cyber cafe to open around 8:AM on Friday morning for him to check if he was to write the exam. He got the info around 8:AM in Owerri and was to write the exam at 9:00 AM on the same day in Abia State. He rushed out but got to the center around 12.

Highly commendable.

Finally they released my son's underaged withheld results today. First attempt: 321. We thank God finally.

JAMB is a huge disappointment. You reschedule an exam impromptu forgetting many of these students need to travel across states and cities to write the exams. For some of these students, they needed time to make an adequate accommodation arrangement.

If I was a candidate I won’t go either.
My reason would be lack of trust and Genuinity.

I really don't know what's wrong with JAMB this year o.

One of my students score aggregate of 293 ( Eng: 74, Phy 74, Bio 72 and Chem 73) in the first exam but JAMB erroneously score him 267 as aggregate. Ordinary addition, their computer no fit do again ni?

He was affected by the resit , which he also went for it and the result came out but placed "under investigation".

He is a very intelligent student. He's already in 200L studying Microbiology but wants to switch to Nursing Sciences.

We don't have a country, it's a shame some people still haven't realize this.

Easier to conderm wen u think myopically. In fact, eternal wailer must find reasonable to wail perpetually.


Before they rescheduled it, they said it publicly that the time is tight already, WAEC and latter NECO already taken the available space...... which is two months combined, if they don't squized into that tiny space to accommodate, you will still come online to rant and condemn.

In this case, some were absent due to logistics. If you were living in Jos and you were scheduled the next day for another state eg FCT, would you have the same resources (transportation, journey time, accomodation etc) instantly to meet up?

What is the plan of those that didn't rewrite the exam do to impromptu schedule, when is the exam taking place again.

This idea of square peg in round hole is why we are here

This year UTME calls for serious concern because it's full of abnormalities like expecting candidate to be at the centre as early as 6:30am even when some of them will have to come from distance that's more than 10km

We need to change things or better still allow universities to conduct entrance exam only while we scarp UTME completely

This rubbish has been going on for a long time but the only difference is the children of nowadays. Their ability to question and critic every fact is highly recommend able. INEC is another sector that will be bursted. This age is computer era, intimidation and coercion will no longer work.
Who will ever imagine that a will come when a board will release results and candidates will question the results and even threaten to sue them. Enlightenment is gradually coming. We will be there soonest

How can this be the ONLY REASON to shun such an important exam?
What about of possible reasons?
What if the location of the exam is very far and parents couldn't afford the fare due to short notice?
Some candidates must have traveled to other location maybe to start something else since the initial result didn't favor them. I have a friend who sent his boy to go learn a trade far away only for jamb to schedule new exam date.
