El Elohe Yahshrael!

I had to ask that question because the issue of people advising others to worship their ancestors is becoming something else.

What impact or influence do the dead have on the living?

Who/what is a god?
What separates a supposed god from a human being?
What are the factors that make such god worthy to be worshipped?

Can those who call for ancestral worship answer and explain without sentiments?

El Elohe Yahshrael! Hallelu YAH!

Ancestor worship is real but is not of God
God gives life and which is spirit and the spirit that Goes back to God is one which was in constant fellowship with God following the reconciliation that came through Christ
Any other spirit that human being can is not of God and is obviously dark energy

We are not saying that our ancestors are/were demons. Nope! We are simply saying that any spiirt that manifests itself as any of our ancestors is a familiar spiirt. We know that familiar spirits are evil spirits who desire the utmost corruption of the human race.

Zaheertyler, you have made few good points.

After the Creator made man, he breathed in him and man became living being. The spirit in man is what lives for ever and returns to the Creator at death of every human being. The flesh returns to the dust from it the Creator made it.

Neither is such spirit the spirit of any dead ancestor, zaheertyler.

But if I had said it some people will say that I am calling their ancestors demonic..but they won’t know that it’s just one of satans numerous method to keep them under his control because they have no knowledge of Gods living word

But one of the core beliefs in the religion — doctrines and traditions of men — of Christianity is that humans are born eternal beings —gods. So, if by default, humans are born eternal beings —gods— then what is so wrong with the traditional folks choosing to worship their ancestors, who by Christian doctrine live on in the grave? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
elated177: 7:53pm On May 23
Zaheertyler, the dead have no single solitary knowledge of what is going on in the land of the living. They can neither bless nor curse anyone. They can neither harm anyone. My ancestors were humans who lived and died here on earth. They are/were not demons. Do those who propagate ancestral worship believe the existence of God Almighty? Do they believe the existence of Satan and the demons? Do they believe the existence of evil spirits? I have not had the opportunity of hearing their responses to those questions? Have you?

Kobojunkieee, where is it stated that humans are born eternal in Christianity? Enlighten me. Although, I am not a Christian. On the other hand, are ancestors still human beings?

Asking me this as though Christian has ever believed in that which is in fact stated.🙄🙄🙄

Ask a handful of Christians out there, irrespective of their denominations, and they will tell you 7 out of 10 times that the human soul was created as an eternal essence. undecided

A god is anything one chooses to ascribe worship or supra-human capabilities/abilities. grin

Kobojunkieee.

Matthew 10: 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Everyday247, that is what this thread is for. You give your own definition or understanding of a god.

Nonsense response! 🙄🙄

Again, do the vast majority of Christians believe or not believe that the human soul is eternal from its creation? It is simple! 🙄

Man is the form through which God experiences itself or the universe. God created the universe after which he took dust from the earth and made a statue of man. He then sent his spirit into the statue and it became a conscious being(soul)
By eating the fruit, man lost the chance of immortality. So when man expires, the spirit returns to God and becomes one with it.(Since it is the same image and likeness as God ) And the body is buried or cremated (and returns to dust). In my opinion, nothing is real in this world. Not even death.
There is somewhere in psalms that talks about ancestral reverence. I will post it out as soon as I locate it.
Nobody actually told us to worship anything. God only gave us laws to follow so as to live in peace and enjoy the brief experience. That is what we were doing, before the European brought the worship of Lucifer and her son, since then we have known no peace.

Any query, I will be available to answer.

Hmmmmm 🤔
I'd define it as autonomous entities capable of creating and manipulating massive amounts of energy and matter in order to intentionally create or modify universes or universal forces and laws. (my personal definition) 🤷

there are problems with this definition:
1. Is the universe aware of itself (conscious)?
2. What is "divine"?

Or a piece of wood, or a tree, or a dead dog, or a bag of bones, or a plaster or plastic sculpture, or an iron rod,or a stone,or a bunch of branches, or a mound of earth... the same applies. undecided

So what you're saying is that if one worships something that is ascribed supernatural abilities it becomes a god regardless of whether the supernatural claims are true or false?

When one worships or one ascribes superhuman abilities to that entity becomes a god over the one. undecided

The part where you say that anything that one worships is a god to that person.

E.g If you worship money they say it becomes your god. That's figure of speech.

Is it equally metaphorical to say then that if one worships Sango, then Sango is a god to 'em?
