In everything you do, you have to define your purpose for doing it.
TB is not a business but a form of saving money for future investments instead of allowing the money in the bank to accumulate bank charges.
A lot of people speak about real investment but forgot you need a reasonable amount of you must make profit.
I bought a land for 3.5m in 2013 and I can hardly see an offer of 5m in 2025.
Like I said, Real estate is good and TB is also good depending on your intended purpose.
Do you know how many people TB is paying their bills today?
Put that same amount on land and you may likely get your interest when you sell it. Unfortunately bills don't wait for your land to appreciate

Don't just buy land anyhow. Is your land facing main road?? I mean a tarred road.
Someone I know bought land for 23m just this last December 2024. They are offering him 30m for same land now about 6 months later. Can TB give you that?
LAND land bro. Land banking is cool. You have to be strategic!

Calm down. Guys that bought land facing main road are fighting state government in court. State government sequestered their land. I bought mine inside cos I don't have strength for state government wahalla. I was heavily into straight tbills but now do tbills, , fd via mmf. No regrets. Everything is moving fine. Just let people do whatever they like.

Someone told me the primary auction rate is 24% while you’re saying 19.5.. now I’m more confused.
Omo my banks don’t want to give me much information. They’re insisting I go for secondary. Is there any bank or investment institution that can help with the primary auctioning when next it’s to happen

If you an open an with stanbic IBTC... It'll be good. They have the best rates for both primary and secondary market (as much as I can tell) and the best thing about stanbic is they have a link u can use to access tbills auction (both primary and secondary market) from the comfort of ur home, also... U can do primary market tbills for less than 50m as against some banks that insist on 50m threshold for primary market.
And yes, I've done all these with them, so it's not hearsay.
PS: I don't work with stanbic nor am I d to them. I'm just a satisfied customer.

Compare the risk-free and peace-of-mind nature of treasury bills with “Omo onile” trouble in places like Lagos, tenants not paying rents in time, maintenance of the building, etc., you’d see why it’s better for some people to invest their money in instruments like TBills.
I want to believe some guys are land agents here trying to discourage people from investing in money market.
If you don't like the money market, then go and invest in the land you so wish instead of constantly coming here to lament

Exactly bro.
Exactly.
Bills won't wait for your land to appreciate to sell it.
Moreover, who says you can't do the 2?
I don't even know the guy's motive in the group.
He comes here every 2/3 months screaming don't do TB, it is rubbish, invest in land.
If he is a land agents trying to market his properties, let him come out clean rather than all these legbe legbe format

Good day folks..please I am looking for the following with any of the major banks:
- A USD investment with at least 10% interest, capital guaranteed and both capital and interest can be taken out in USD and NOT Naira.
The investment potfolio should be with a major bank ered with CBN e.g IBTC.
Please let me know if there are options out there.
