Lol, all the decades that IPMAN took control of the buying and distribution of petroleum products in Nigeria, they never reduced price by 1 naira. They should keep quiet and go and line up abeg.

Can't this IPMAN consider building their own refinery if they do not like Dangotte? Must they import?

It should be reduced further, fuel produced in Ibeju Lekki Lagos should be lesser than what we are buying it. By the way where is NNPC?

Dangote gaining control is dangerous Once he gains control and pushes everybody else out of business... He is going to start dealing with the buyers 34 Likes 4 Shares |

I think the so called Marketers need to be checked into a psychiatric centre Business distribution is all about sourcing for lowest price, From all indications importation is unfavourable for now, why are the Marketers so hell bent on avoiding Dangote whose Price is best option for now The Monopoly arguement makes no logical sense, Dangote and Marketers are not on the same pedestral, dangote as a producer dictate price while marketer are subject of Price dictation from where ever source Only a producers or refinery can go into a Price war with Dangote ... not yeye distributor 28 Likes 2 Shares |

Good one. There is price war and competition among the players in this industry.

Dangote wil not happy with what is happening in downstream sector. His expectation while building the refinery was that he would be made the sole supplier of fuel to the country. He was able to be licensed to build the refinery because the upstream sector was deregulated and decentralized but he doesn't want the same for the downstream sector so as to enjoy monopoly and exploit Nigerians That was the reason why he was spreading this adulterated fuel importation propaganda when he just commissioned his refinery. We Nigerians are for LOW PRICE...Not for IPMAN and not NNPC and not for DANGOTE...No Nigerian will fight dangote fight for him 4 Likes 1 Share |

Skyjones7:he go surprise you say once all those marketers submit to Dangote, and stop importing Dangote can increase the price to ₦3000 per litre Don't trust That man we shouldn't forgot cement scenario in an hurry 😏 122 Likes |

Islie:This is why rent seeking should never be called business. They had long years to pool resources and build a refinery but they want to continue to be rentseekers even when it was getting increasingly clear that FG was going to scrap pms subsidy some day. Smh. This is why it's good to go to school so you can understand how educated and intelligent government thinks. 93 Likes |

victorDanladi:Let him continue dropping the price. But government should keep an eye on things and must step in when necessary to prevent a monopoly. If the NNPC refineries are not working (as they don't seem to be), I doubt government can really do much though. Let's hope BUA and other refineries come on stream soon. 6 Likes 1 Share |

These are the same people who never reduced price by a kobo. They suddenly found a voice, these are the plunderers in connivance with other groups who want to rip Nigerians and hang them outside to dry..

It's a very healthy competition, make una continue to die price war, it's beneficial to Nigerians. Imagine what wld happen when other refineries are complete. I wonder the president that started paying of petrol subsidy in Nigeria, tropical Nigerian, always want the easy way out. Instead of building and maintaining a refinery they preferred to be paying subsidy. 2 Likes |
