Oga, if you are planning to come to gboko just know it will take you like 4 months before you will see a vacant house because where they are building new houses is very far from the main town your 100k cant get you a decent self con except room and toilet no kitchen for 50k but you go settle fight tire for the house, but you will surely enjoy that town in of amenities like woman, meat and still women only legend will understand

The cost of living here in Abakaliki Ebonyi state is very high, A room sefcon ranges from 500k up the agent fee is not included. From my own suggestions you should go to Nsukka, Enugu state, there you can get a very good selfcon from 120k up
CorperKola: 12:06am On May 22
There is room of 50k in places like Ado and Ibadan that I know of. There has o be in osohgbo too cos its prolly cheaper and chilled than those 2

Hi, I need some help figuring out something I’ve been contemplating.

Due to some financial difficulties, I have to relocate and I’m looking for a place in Nigeria that’s very affordable in of rent and general cost of living. One of my top priorities is reliable electricity and good network connectivity, as these are essential for my work and daily life.

My budget is quite limited—less than ₦100,000—so affordability is crucial.

So far, the options I’m considering include:

Osogbo, Osun State

Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Gboko, Benue State

Abakaliki, Ebonyi State

If you have any suggestions, insights, or recommendations about these places—or anywhere else that might fit my criteria—I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks so much for your help!

Don't near Uyo, Uyo don cast.
Transportation is now expensive and they don't have food like that. Maybe if you're ok with concoction

Jos - good weather, ok infrastructure, awesome social life, affordable food and housing

Kaduna has all you need and more.

Osogbo - just like jos in most things. Jos has better weather and social life.

Uyo - better than the two above, but way more expensive

Gboko/Abakiliki - nothing special about them.

You can also consider Enugu or Calabar. Both are more expensive than Jos but not as Uyo.

To be fair, how is Uyo better?

Limited food options, mostly just garri and fufu
Fresh fruits are hard to come by
Apart from major roads, most streets are in poor condition, and getting access to bikes is still a struggle
Medical facilities are subpar

I'd choose Kaduna or Osogbo over Uyo any day.

One thing you must understand is there is no money to be made from a cheap location. It means everybody there is literally poor.

Except up own money remotely.

Do you work remotely or got a job paying in dollars, and now you want to relocate to a place where your money stretches like suya on a hot grill of
MANNABBQGRlLLS.

Taraba State is one of the most affordable states to live in, with cheap housing, food, and a low cost of living.
Also, Kogi, and Bauchi are among the cheapest states.

.....and This is official.

I personally know a retired top naval officer who just retired and built and settled permanently at Calabar, and he is from the middle belt, when I probed on his reasons he said Calabar and Ilorin are Nigeria most peaceful towns to retire to or to raise children, so it's not just about cost of living alone but equally about peace and tranquility for you and your family
Peace for Calabar?
The man is a joke
