Think back to when you were a teenager yourself to find the answers you possibly need. In the ideal world, parenting can be done without all of that shouting, nagging, and repetition, but this is the real world. I suggest negotiating your way with them through much of the stress. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

More reason having kids is annoying.

Sure. But most parents I have interviewed think it is not possible.

How do you mean "winning your teenagers"?

With absolutely no shouting? I doubt that, since we are humans after all, and we are, all of us, made of emotions. But, through careful and persistent sharpening of one's negotiating skills while learning the individual personalities of one's kids, I am certain it is possible to greatly reduce the shouting and nagging. grin

I know that most kids of this generation are heavily influenced by what they see and watch online. Sadly, society isn't helping either. The more you shout at them, the more you instill fear—not change. That fear doesn’t correct their behavior; instead, it drives them to misbehave behind your back. The best approach is love.

It isn't just this generation, as the same applied to us even when we were teenagers as well. undecided

2. Also, shouting isn't necessarily wrong. Even children throw tantrums, cry, and shout when they are frustrated. It is not meant as a way of changing others but as a way of releasing pent-up frustrations. We all do it. And yes, it could make others around us anxious, particularly kids. But this can be easily resolved through simply apologizing for one's outbursts and ensuring to teach them of better ways to release that frustration as one learns. undecided

3. Children who would choose to misbehave behind their parents' backs do so whether they are screamed at or not. Saying fear is the reason why they choose to misbehave behind their parents' backs is ridiculous. undecided

4. Love does not vanquish frustration or outbursts. Again, we are all made of emotions. undecided

Of course, back then our parents used their eyes to communicate. That was enough, without saying a single word.

Things have changed. How many children understands communication via eye ?
