Currently there's a trend on social media that a coup is being taken place in Ivory Coast and the president is nowhere to be found, and the Internet is down.

Who can confirm if the rumors are real, as there's no mainstream media coverage about such news in Ivory Coast.

And if the rumors are real, what impact do you think it will have in the whole region?

Wouldn't be surprised. Africans are breaking the chains of colonialism and their President is taking side with the oppressors. Worse is the country was accused of staging a coup on Traoré .... that's a red line crossed...he has to go.
