Saddamochieng00:Africa despite being the second most populous continent doesnβt consume much due to lack of or low availability of a standard credit system (amongst other factors). South Africa has a standard database like that of Europe, Asia, and America hence they have the credit system in place (amongst other things) to help them consume more than any other country in Africa (in of value derived from the consumption). In of quantity however, Nigeria of course consumes the most being at least 3 times the size of South Africa. 2 Likes |

theenchanter:You are not banned anyway, it is your own cup of acid. Oil is a basic necessity both in Nigeria and Ghana, the quantity on what you buy is dependent on the amount you used. But it is a daily and necessary consumption. Now tell me basic necessity in Nigeria that is above that of Ghana and f.... olishly think it is way cheaper than Ghana. How much is a bag of cement in Nigeria now ? Another item that is daily used |
theenchanter: 12:33pm On May 19 |
vaxx:how's 25L vegetable oil a necessity, guy?πππ As for cement, I know the price of that and it ranges between 8k-10k, depending on the brand. |
vaxx: 12:37pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:ogbeni , it is a common basic household ingredient. Whether you buy in 25 litter's or less depends on your pulse. It does not stop it from being a basic necessity |
vaxx: 12:39pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:anyway that is 10 k. It does not in anyway cheaper than Ghana despite having a poorer economy |
theenchanter: 12:48pm On May 19 |
vaxx:As I said earlier, I'm sure 90% of Nigerians don't buy 25L vegetable oil, so therefore 25L vegetable oil is not a basic need. Vegetable oil are sold in smaller quantities and I believe that's what majority of Nigerians buy |

vaxx:the argument is about pp of our currencies. |
vaxx: 1:46pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:Your argument is flawed . The quantity is basically a reflection of what your pulse can attract, it doesn't mean oil is not a necessity. Nearly every 90 percent of Nigerians will buy it if they can afford it because there is no much alternative to oil. Oil is a basic needs, the quantity doesn't matter, can you afford it is the question ? |
vaxx: 1:50pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:ogbeni, the major components here is the exchange rate, the inflation rate and the local price. Judging based on this component, Nigeria is not in anyway living better despite Ghana perceived high cost |

vaxx:how many Ghanaians buy 25L vegetable oil? Let's start from there. 2 Likes |
vaxx: 2:00pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:The sensible question will be how many Ghanaian used or don't used oil ? Size is a matter of choice and needs . 1 Like |

vaxx: 2:48pm On May 19 |
theenchanter:na you dey run inside circle. I already give you a clue regarding it but showing you examples of basic commodity like cooking oil and cement. |

theenchanter:Ghanaians pay 22% vat on most things we buy of course Ghana will be more expensive than Nigeria where you pay just 6%. π€£π This is like going to the US of Singapore with your 2 million naira and crying at how fast it finishes. It shows that your money has no real value |
