You can't break a key that had not bn given to you.
You only do that if you have fulfilled all the criteria that qualified you to be a bonafide occupant of that apartment which the 10k he agreed to is part of it.

Okay, let's even assume that nothing will happen if he breaks the keys.
If those keys are inlock keys, to replace each will cost not less than ₦7,000. The cost of two of them will be ₦14,000. Add workmanship about ₦5,000. That's about ₦19,000. That is if you want to replace the key with those inferior key. Original will be up to ₦13,000 each.

Now, tell me who is the phool here. Won't is be better to pay the 10k and still maintain the good relationship with the caretaker than that unwise advise you are giving.
