Mrs. Ashekun, not the victim herself, called for an investigation into Mr. Olukoya’s alleged misconduct, accusing him of preying on single mothers and young women from vulnerable backgrounds. She claimed that Olukoya used his position of authority to exploit them under the guise of offering prayers and spiritual guidance, often intimidating victims into silence.

She emphasized the need for immediate action to investigate the allegations and hold Olukoya able for his actions. Mrs. Ashekun’s petition, titled ‘Rescue MFM Church Victims from Dr. DK Olukoya,’ highlighted instances where victims were coerced into retracting their statements and issuing apologies, allegedly due to pressure and threats from Olukoya and his associates.

According to Mrs. Ashekun, she possesses evidence implicating Olukoya in these activities, including materials showing his alleged exploitation of women. She urged African parents to be vigilant and cautious, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about such issues.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for MFM, Mr. Collins Edomaruse, for comments and reactions were unsuccessful. The petition calls for a thorough investigation into Olukoya’s activities and swift action to ensure justice for the victims.

The seriousness and urgency of the matter are underscored by the need to provide and assistance to victims, including counseling and legal advocacy, to help them heal and rebuild their lives.

To conclude the petition, Mrs. Ashekun expressed gratitude to the police for their attention to the matter and expressed hope that justice would be served.
