My Canadian study visa got refused because of these reasons below, Though I am applying from South Korea and I am on a temporary visa here. Please any information on how to go about these and ing documents to reapply and get an approval will be appreciated. Kindly assist me.

Firstly, you need to book an appointment before going for your biometric capture. The biometric letter is available on your profile
After your appointment is booked, you can travel to Lagos with your biometric letter, your appointment slip or confirmation letter, and your port

It's been over a month I applied for GCM note and no response.

Good evening house, my brother applied for a canada visit visa in 2023 through an agent. He did his biometrics in September but since then, the agent kept saying his file has not been attended too. One way or the other, my brother found out last week that his visa application was refused in March 2024 and he was also banned for 5 years.

Please is there any way that he can fight or reverse the ban??

Please, someone correct me if I’m wrong—but I’m so sorry about that. Sadly, there’s no real way for him to fight it. IRCC can be very strict. He can request a GCMS note to find out which fake document was submitted on his behalf.

I have agent stories for days. It’s truly sad that people get banned and the worst part is that the ban often follows them for life, affecting future visa applications to most countries they may want to visit.

Many visa forms include questions like:

"Have you ever been refused a visa, denied entry, or been the subject of a removal or deportation order from any country?"

"Have you ever been barred or banned from entering any country?"

It’s like a scar that never fully goes away—even if you're lucky enough to get a visa years later, or even after obtaining a Canadian port.

When applying for travel authorizations such as the UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) or ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System), you may still be asked about previous immigration violations or bans.

And often, it all started with a so-called "Facebook visa agent" using fake bank statements or fraudulent documents.

These fake agents are dangerous. Please—it’s not worth it. They can ruin your travel future permanently

Your profile screams that you’re fleeing something in your home country basically, an asylum case.

If you had a work permit in South Korea, it might be seen as less risky and could improve your chances.

Convincing IRCC is like trying to convince your wife that it’s the last time you'll sleep with your ex who, by the way, just had a fourth child with you while you were married. 😂

You have to show everything proof, evidence, explanations just to convince them you won’t do it again.

Sorry for the wild analogy, but I’m just trying to help you see where things might be going wrong.

Holding a Nigerian port already puts you at a disadvantage you’re almost automatically viewed with suspicion.

So now, the burden is on you to prove you are qualified.

You need to give IRCC all the proof and explanations even the ones they didn’t ask for that might explain your current situation better.

Nigeria currently has the third highest number of pending asylum claims in Canada.

So from IRCC's perspective, they assume you’re just trying to add to those numbers.

Yes, it’s true getting a job in Canada right now is tough. The economy added barely any jobs last month, and unemployment is rising fast, especially in Ontario and among young people. Even locals are applying to 50+ jobs without a single callback. So if you're planning to come here thinking jobs are everywhere, be prepared . this market is brutal.and dnt believe any nigerian blogger sugarcoating the truth about the worsting job situation in canada it a fairytale as even many newcomer are struggling to get job or in survival job!

So let’s work with the 6-month limit.

Do you know the reason for the ban?

Your agent used fake documents on your behalf, and the penalty for misrepresentation or using fake documents is a 5-year ban.

Unless you can prove that there was no misrepresentation and all the documents used were genuine.

Lastly, I believe the window for appeal or reconsideration for this application has expired.
