Nigeria’s inflation rate eased to 23.71% in April 2025, down from 24.23% recorded in March. This is according to new data by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) seen by Nairametrics on Thursday. The latest figure marks a modest decline of 0.52 percentage points, offering a glimmer of hope amid persistent economic challenges and rising cost-of-living pressures across the country.

I wonder what metric these fools are using to come up with such figures when its obvious that the purchasing power of the naira keeps diminishing by the second . undecided

It's very easy to destroy but it takes time to build. President Tinubu is rebuilding gradually. God bless Nigeria.

cool Ask someone who went to Prison during Jonathan time , Buhari time, give them 100k to manage and get their . But ask how they feel when they received the money and afterwards . Someone just giving fake statistics.. inflation still high ..you have use many parameters to judge. The only good thing is that there is price stability. What you buy last week might still be the same price this week. But the money is still kind of weak in of purchasing power which shouldn't be a bad thing if we are a productive country exporting.

It's the same metrics they used when the rate was high.

After rebasing inflation rate to arrive at a lower rate. But prices in the market don't care if you rebase inflation rate

If this same word was used on Peter Óbi, seun and his trigger happy bot would have banned you and deleted your comments. Enjoy your cruise brother.

Hmmm
As at 2015, inflation was at less than 9%
Today zombies are celebrating 24% inflation, a figure that's based on rebasing and not actual reality
Zombies are daft!!
