Wow. So what will happen? Till next year?

Registration for January intake will happen this year, by September it should start. I don’t know if they might decide to issue more CAS, but the chance of that happening is low.

It's simply a video presentation.
No big deal.

Introduce yourself
Why CMU
Why the course
Why UK
What is your proposed project topic
Methodologies you will use
Etc

If registration for January intake will take place by September, is it advisable to go ahead with the payment of tuition deposit this month or do I have to wait till September to pay the deposit?

Good day everyone,

I’m kindly seeking advice on how to go about applying for a UK visa for my sister’s daughter, who is 16 years old. She currently lives with my mother in Nigeria.

Now, I’m planning to bring my niece over to live with us temporarily and help with the kids.

You're in a first world country now with human rights. Behave like one. Get a nanny or a babysitter.

Stop trying to exploit children. Your niece should be going to school, not turned into an unpaid nanny. If you want her to take care of your children, sponsor her education to the UK and let her use her free time to care for your children.

- Immigration surcharge is increasing by over 30%, potentially deterring employers from taking in international candidates
- They are contemplating reducing the post-study period by 6 months. Less time to find a job
- Int'l graduates to be restricted from jobs with requirements below the graduate qualification..so jobs like care and possibly some social care roles are off the table.
- Minimum salary requirements are expected to increase further above the average UK wage
- Employers must show strong evidence they tried to recruit locally and invested in training before they can take on Int'l graduates

The general direction is to make it harder for int'l students to stay after their studies......in other words, they want your tuition money but will prefer you leave after your studies.

This is excellent. Thanks for taking the time to explain all these

Bro, people should understand that the Graduate Visa is different from the student Visa. The graduate visa is what the UKVI policy is referring to, as being reduced from 24months (2yrs) to 18months (1y 6month)

A Graduate visa can only be applied for after completing an educational program in the UK, Its a means that afford people who have just completed their study in the UK and are yet to get a skilled visa and are nearing the expiration of their student visa to stay behind in the uk for up to 2year - 3years depending on your course of program,

Also note that the Graduate visa can not be renewed or extended, but holders can switch to another visa category.

So, literally it doesnt affects potential applicants.

Where it may affect potential MSc or MRes applicant is if after your initial 2years student visa in the UK, You stil have not gotten a work sponsorship, then it means, your chances of staying beyond in the UK for another 2years while you search for job sponsorship has been reduced to 1year and 6months,

Thanks for the update thou.

Thanks for your input too

1. No, most pre-registration courses don't require D for international students in the way you interpreted it to be. What they need is to have (for most schools) is proven relevant work experience in health care or something clinical related that can be related to the role of nursing. So the schools can ask you to fill a portfolio form, attend an interview before they give you ission, provide of ed healthcare professionals you've worked under, or fill RPL forms.
2. You can confirm by checking the entry requirements for MSC pre-registration Nursing in Glasgow Caledonian University, Coventry University, Brunel University, University of Suffolk, UCLAN, etc. Note for UCLAN and Brunel, the course is called MSC ed Nursing but it is pre-reg nursing. And for Coventry only Mental Health Nursing pre-registration is open to international students.
2. IELTS is compulsory for both pre-registration and normal nursing. It is UK's requirement for any type of nursing.
3. Sorry about that sir, I will surely call you this evening.

Thank you......Simply put

I just finished an English test interview with Cardiff Met and they basically asked what the course I'm going for is about, means of communication and Internet, how the course would help me develop myself or country, etc. I don't know if it would be same thing as yours but the questions were alright and the representative was friendly.

Yes you can pay, I paid mine too during the processing of September intake but I was not given CAS, so when they started with January intake, I was part of the first set that got CAS.

Okay.

What about the ission from the school?
Would I have to reapply to get another conditional offer for January intake?

And I want to ask, are there jobs for international students whilst schooling at Bradford or Leeds?

You will not re - apply. Have you done pre- cas interview?
There are jobs in Leeds than Bradford. But Bradford is close to Leeds.

Good day house, my pre CAS interview was scheduled for 12th of may with the mail stating my zoom link will be sent few minutes before the scheduled time unfortunately the link wasn't sent and the interview wasn't conducted, I've mailed the school but hasn't replied, I'm worried, what could be the reason.

Biko, could you help with this question?

Is it advisable to pay tuition deposit once received unconditional offer or wait till after Pre CAS interview?

University of Wolverhampton thou, that sch seems to have received an overwhelming application, hence my fear.

We just got unconditional offer late April for September intake, meanwhile we applied for May intake but was deferred to sept.

and have mailed them like 3 times to schedule pre CAS interview but they said we should wait as they were working on doing that this month

My fear is, time dey go bro
And I heard some people had even made deposit while still on conditional offer oo

Any possibility for sept intake? Or make we just zero mind and put trust for January?

To make matters worse, their Nigeria Representative is not even responding to calls, chat or mail.

The guys sef too dull for my liking

Those representatives are always annoying. You can make deposit if you don’t mind waiting, but if you want to explore other options don’t pay cos you will be tied down.
