But in all honesty, I have seen a few videos like this, involving Nigerian guys with "Minors". My question is, if the meeting was online, how was the guy supposed to know the girl is underaged?
Because, to me, this really looks like a setup. You claim "Minors" but Minors aren't allowed on dating or adult sites. At least, you would have given consent that you are 18 or above before ing your .
Always ask for a girl's age before you start toasting any girl abroad, that is the rule. You can go as far as asking for her government ID with words like; you really sound so young, are you sure you are above 18 years, can I see your ID card to be sure you arent a minor please? These words alone will exonerate you of any offense if the girl lied or if you were chatting with undercover agents.

But unfortunately some guys have a craven for minor girls and its absurd angry

Unfortunately this is the culture and peculiar with many NIGERIANS at home.

He has forgotten there is rules of law abroad and failed to learn from those who have made such a grave mistake in recent past.

Ten years jail and deportation awaits him.

The most insane part of it is that, these guys can't even put up a good defense for themselves, they immediately start fidgeting and talking stupidly. How are you supposed to know she is a minor? Minors aren't allowed on dating sites, except you went for her physically or privately online.
it's a bait now, the person you're chatting with, will tell you she's a child repeatedly and even tell you her age between chats... Maybe dis one think say na joke, and will even send you pics....

A Nigerian man has been arrested in the United Kingdom after flying in to meet a young girl he had been chatting with online. The man believed he was a young teen girl. Authorities say the suspect had been communicating with the girl for weeks before arranging the meeting.

Upon his arrival, he was immediately arrested by undercover officers. The man is now facing serious charges, including attempted sėxual activity with a minor, and could face 10 years to life imprisonment under UK law.

The case has sparked fresh concerns about child exploitation and online grooming, leading to calls for stricter measures to protect children from online predators.

Police say digital evidence, including chat logs and planning details, were recovered and are being used in the ongoing investigation. The suspect remains in custody and is expected to appear in court soon.

This is not a Nigerian thing and I am not defenfing the man but when the social media companies let kids stay on their platforms anyone can fall prey.

It’s like the phone has become the new "parent" in many households, while real parental guidance is often overlooked or weakened by the constant distraction of screens and notifications. Parents today are indulging their kids, no one wants to parent anymore. We want the internet to do everything just because you can YouTube how to drive does not mean you can drive on the road from there. Parents now give their kids phones at a very young age, forgetting the wisdom of a TV box was to monitor what is on. Parents who could not cope then did not buy TV sets and their kids did not die. Parents back then too gave excuse that the world is moving on. Yes the world is moving on but you can never change what will be there for years, parents are there to guide children, nurture them and monitor them.

The real issue here is that the internet is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it connects us in ways that were unimaginable just a couple of decades ago, but on the other hand, it can expose vulnerable people, especially kids to serious dangers. Social media platforms often fail to create the kind of environment that truly protects kids, and it’s shocking how easily teenagers can bend the rules or hide their identities to engage with adults, sometimes without anyone noticing until it's too late.

The more complex issue is how teens can sometimes manipulate situations, like lying about their age, leading to false accusations and innocent people being caught in the process.

While it’s important to tackle the predator side of the problem, it's just as crucial to look at the broader ecosystem, how social media, lack of ability, and even parental neglect make it easy for kids to end up in dangerous situations. Parents, for sure, need to take a more hands-on role in educating their kids about the risks and holding them able online. But at the same time, tech companies need to step up their game to make sure kids can’t easily "game" the system.

As FRANK Oliseh will ask, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILD IS On the phone

Even here in the United States, most people you see physically looking like 30 years old woman are teen and young girls not to talk of the one you have never met so one must be very careful with the game one plays with all these so-called online girls.

He might not know the age that is classified as minor over there. Besides, here in Nigeria foreigners do as they like and go free with it. Nobody checkmates them & their activities.

They (adults) set up teen or minor s to catch P3do or pedos, especially if they don't want you

So they set you up.
