.......Amorim is not the problem; the issue lies with the club, the system and the board. This club has hired the likes of Louis van Gaal and Mourinho for God's sake! Yet the story never changes.

Sir Ralf Rangnick came and spoke the truth, but we ignored and laughed at him. Now, Amorim has realized he made a terrible mistake leaving Lisbon for this club.

The players have no shame. They lack confidence and seemingly believe we are a mid-table club. There's no urgency to win games, no regret after losing, just rinse and repeat.

Aside from Yoro, Mazraoui, Zirkzee*, Amad, Heaven*, and De Ligt, I don't see anyone else worth playing for this club - no one at all!

90% of them can't even dribble past a cone. They panic on the ball, looking for any way to get rid of it. Are these really professionals?!

Until we have a team that can go man to man with every opposition, and not be embarrassed, we’re likely going to continue this suffering.

I have said it here. Him winning or losing Europa should not be the determining factor. We would just be repeating the ETH FA Cup mistake.

Either way sha, the club is doomed. We don't have much money to spend and the little we have is being straightjacketed by FFP rules. Additionally, the people in the club who signed off on buying Ugarte and Dorgu might be frauds as well, meaning the little money we do spend is likely to be spent on rubbish players and the next manager might be another incompetent person.

This is what they call ogun n'ile, ogun l'oko.

This thing is beginning to look extraordinary
Cos why can't we get anything right?

For the current coach or his replacement? It’s possible both ways, you know

The current coach, I still feel we should give him some time.

All we need is a ticket to the UCL, that's where the money is...At this point, finishing a position or two higher is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Let the players use the remaining games to build fitness for those who need it.

Honestly, this attitude is a path to destruction for the club. Good thing Amorim has seen it as well. A europa league win isnt going to magically fix everything.

Dunno maybe it's because he isn't an English speaking person but Amorim is starting to sound like he is more confident at highlighting "issues".

Beginning to sound like Ragnick who probably knew he wouldnt be around to effect the changes he proposed

I’m not absolvingAmorim of any blames here but the if your players can’t go toe to toe with the players of an “average” team every week, then you are below average. All the average teams have beaten us home and away this season, with two different coaches. Wetin dey happen now?

Something needs to change.

Even without a coach, we shouldn’t be seeing these kind of performances from players that don the Man Utd jersey. I sha know it can’t always be the coach, or it can’t be the coach only, cos we don change coach many times.

After sacking the coach, we need to sack some players too. Magwaya is number one for me. He slows the game down unnecessarily and his slow pace makes him a liability defensively. Number two. Onana. Man has biscuit wrists and can’t do save a goal if his life depended on it. We also need reinforcements in midfield and attack. But is our recruitment team capable of bringing in the right players

It’s a fvking Catch-22 all over

I am sure Spurs are delaying the announcement of his sack so as not to destabilise the team further just before the Europa league final..

By virtue of league performances this season, I think Amorim and Postecoglu are by far the worst in the whole of Europe.

The two hideous twins go dey use injury disguise

Amorim recommended Dorgu and he has already been label a bad player, can we honest say the club will sign better players in the summer to play Amorim style next season?
Bald Fraud came in with the intent of clearing deadwood and bringing in better players, but ended up buying/recommending worse players to replace the deadwood.
This Club have not been the same since Moyes was sacked, United appointed LVG (he won FA Cup) and Mourinho (he won 3 trophies including our first Europa League) but United didn't progress as it should even after spending billions on g players. Call it conspiracy theory or whatever, but i believe Moyes put on curse on United for the plane banner disgrace the fans gave him..

Kloop and pep combined self will fail with this team, we need quality players with the right mentality that can go toe to toe with other opposition. I don’t think our problem is a coach problem…

Barca was losing 2-0 today against Madrid yet still won the game, how we can’t draw a 0-1 winning at home before the opposition scored the second goal still baffles me. Its a shame for real.

Sack Amorim today as far as these players are still here nothing will change.

Whoever said it is going to magically fix everything...A UCL spot guarantees we can spend more and attract players of a high quality, which is good for the team, so I don't understand what you mean by path to destruction...

Even if Amorim plays our best 11, they will be very cautious because, whether he likes it or not, the players know where our priority lies and none of them will like to sustain an injury that will see them miss the UEL final.

PSG was supposed to do an unbeaten season, but as soon as they won the league, they cared less about Ligue 1; even when Enrique fielded his best 11, they lost to Nice some weeks back.

What exactly will a win, a loss, or a draw do for the team?

Is it too hard for you guys to wait for the UEL final before you start? I am sure when we win the final, some of you will begin to speak in tongues unknown to man.

Oasis007:
🎙️| Ruben Amorim: “I think it's a concern. It's not the players fault. It's my fault, I'm responsible. If we cannot change that really fast we should give our place to different persons.”

The mentality that winning a final trumps months and months of data is what allowed us to give ETH more time and more room to hang us.
RDM won UCL with Chelsea and they still asked him to walk out.

It is very important that people learn from history.

Years and years of malistration will do that. There is not one single problem or one simple fix in the club. It is like Nigerians thinking one messiah president will come and fix decades of rot.

If we sack Amorim and keep these players, the story might not change much BUT the wages of sin is death. At some point he too has to pay for the poor results.

The players are majorly crap, but the coach himself is not innocent. The problem is that we currently don't have the money to buy the very best players and when we do spend big money we usually spend on the wrong players i.e. we usually waste the money we spend. It also looks like we keep g the wrong coaches.

So theoretically we can't buy our way out of this mess with players, and we can't even sign our way out of this mess with coaches.

The trouble we are in is more than may people here understand. Apart from a major football miracle, we are doomed if we keep Amorim and we are likely still doomed if we sack him.

It is a peculiar mess.

When hiring and firing goes wrong. We have hired and fired from Champions League places and Top 2 or just missing out on Top 4 to now barely avoiding relegation.

Its a path to destruction because history has always shown you cannot consistently pick and choose when you raise your game for matches. The losing mentality is settling into the players and also helping our opponents who not only see where we are on the table but know we have not won a league match against a non relegated team since January. Winning mentality is extremely important. 17 league defeats is not helping.

Nobody here has said that but do you know who has said that in his statement? The manager you're defending. 👇

Ruben Amorim: “Everybody is focused on the final. The final is not the biggest thing in our football club. We need to change a lot of things. If we don't change the way we play and perform and feel this urgency of winning every game, we should not play in the Champions League. We should just stay in the Premier League and learn how to be competitive one week at a time.”

I'm not trying to defend Amorim here, but c'mon man. Are you joking here?
Amorim was clearly being honest, even if that 'honesty' sound like what Ralf Rangnick once said in his evaluation of the situation at the club and what needed to be done.

Amorim is clearly saying if by the time the next season begins and things have not changed, then maybe we shouldn't be playing in the Champions League and should instead just be playing in the Premier League.
One might argue that things should improve with the remaining matches at least, but to be honest, it just doesn't look like things will improve in the remaining matches of this season. Let's see what the summer transfer and pre-season has, then we may judge whether the team would be serious for the next season or not.

Nothing is going to improve in the remaining games in the league. The players have mentally checked out, those that have mentally checked out will be cautious so as not to avoid injury so they can play the final.

This season is gone since and these PL results means nothing to me tbh. Make them just win the final and move on from there.

Its left for Amorim and Sir Ratface to then revamp the squad.
