I've never regretted moving. I think Australia is not well marketed in Nigeria. It's peaceful and people are actually well off. It's no brainer that once you settle here, you may never want to return back to Nigeria, you may visit occasionally though. Also, African foods, swallows o, meat o, fish o, are readily available. You'll wish you had come sooner. It's a big economic and migration destination for Oceania and Asian folks though.

You really don't know. All sorts of things can fundamentally change people. Someone very submissive and humble when broke can become a cruel tyrant once they have a bit of money. Same thing can also happen once you move to a different country, a baby is born, the partner loses income, etc. Some people can also just change for no discernible reason - that devout pastor's who suddenly decided she wanted to be a prostitute!

This is the major problem we Nigerians have...we love exploiting the system. Student visas are made for those who intend to study and during the application process you are expected to prove that you have the money to take care of yourself, without working. Which is the way it should be. But we like to bend things and later turn around to say it's tough overseas.

Not everyone abroad does two jobs. It's your lifestyle and commitments that determine how hard you would have to work. I know people that have left school for donkey years, and yet have not gotten a single job in Nigeria. But in most places in North America, you still will be able to find two jobs to do, if that's what you want.

How many Japa people have ed company? Tax is one of the baggage,others include bills but still that's btw ,if you're rich enough to Japa but complain of 8k to visit Nigeria where you have family and other interests then Nigeria is not really bad .
