Reading some comments here shows abysmal low level of intelligence when it comes to politics. Winning election involves many things, influence, negotiation and past records of the both party and the individual.

how Tinubu fought the issues of drug and his certificate, this was brought out by opposition to demarket him from getting desired votes.

Politics is deep, just wait for 2027 and see how opposition parties will start bringing out terrible things against each other. Is called drop it, in politics.

Money bags also matters the ruling party can dip hands into the treasury to fund election through back door, those with EFCC cases will be asked to drop certain amount of money to get them off the hook. Opposition parties will be spending their state allocations those not in power will not risk too much of their loot.

2027 I am saying it, APC will buy one vote for 50k and people are ready to sell their votes.

I wonder where opposition parties will see that kind of money.

El Rufai is not someone I would have wanted paired with Obi, but at a time like this when all institutions have been compromised, I am rooting for this ticket.

This ticket will defeat Tinubu in a landslide. What do you guys think?

Abeg rest, politics no be maths oooo. Tinubu whether you hate him or not will return again in 2027. Mind you, not in of his policies but one thing I have realize in this country is that politics in 9ja defiles plain logic. You will be surprised the mamomoth Tinubu will get come that year and with less than 15 million votes he will be president again.

Many Obidients have not accepted this combo but if the coalition throws it up, they will

It is misleading to think that Obidients will accept anyone just because it is Obi. People that tackle Obi if he does anyhow. Is it not the same Obidients that disagreed with Obi's endorsement of a candidate in one of the states? It is also misleading to think that the Obidients will only vote for Obi, 24 hrs is a long time in politics. You'll be surprised Obi is a placeholder and you'll find another name.

The youth movement who don't care about any party because they can see they are the same are the voting bloc politicians are ignoring. They think they are 'Obidients', big mistake.

Obi continues to embodies everything the youth movement stands for.

2023 has taught us that the structures of criminality runs deep from INEC, the Police to the judiciary so we have to do things differently.

People with better mindset than yours lives in Cameroon and biya still rules. I have been around a bit to understand Nigeria is not working. My first election in Nigeria was1993 and I know the numbers of lives that were lost in aftermath of that election. Today babaginda is largely celebrated despites his many atrocities. If you were a teenager that year and understand how messed up this up this country have been since that time till now then you understand that Nigeria has its own biya but in form of different personalities.

Fergie001,

Frontpage pls. Let's know the feelers

Which feelers do you want again that you’ve not gotten already? You’re the only one from page one to three arguing with everyone that the ticket will fly when in reality, every other person can see clearly that it’s dead on arrival.

Even El-Rufai knows the ticket won’t fly but he will ride on the wave to rebuild his image with the SE and then position himself as coalition candidate against APC in 2031 when power will go back to the north.

Those who abuse him really wished the youth movement that backed him were on their side. If they had the Obidient on their side, they would have been happy too, they are just being jealous. Obi walked into an opportunity of post Endsars sentiment and a youth population who got tired of the same. It could be anyone tomorrow. That anyone is what they are not calculating. Those they have captured are those they can buy. Nothing has changed in Nigeria election where the person with the money bag bags everything. One important phrase Obi had was "we no de give shishi". That phrase had the transformational ability to morph into an anti corruption crusade if he had won because when you read the analysis here, you see that the old ones are used to the system of cheating and corruption, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. It is the fruit of their laborious youth that has made their own kids tired of the country they built and want to japa. They are not done yet, they want to finish it patapata. No principles, no ethos but they will abuse the young people tomorrow when they themselves could not show good examples and lay good foundation for their kids. At least, I give it to the Obidients for always asking questions, that's ability that the others don't want and they know why.

Edit: Obi's emergence took all of them by surprise and I've been studying Nigerian politics for long time. Sowore would normally have gotten the attention of the youth and today, he keeps attacking him because all the years he campaigned for the youth, he didn't do well in the elections. For PDP, APC, none of them can lie that they expected him to go this far. Didn't they mock him? Two people tweeting from a room? Why haven't they stopped attacking him? Someone that came third is giving them more headache than Abubakar? We all know propaganda when we see one. What is happening today is history repeating itself, you'll have the President and the people's president. The president can use everything to buy everyone and the people's president is who the people choose. This is not about President Tinubu and Peter Obi.

Are you gonna this Nigeria to future generations? They gonna curse our generation for failing to fight.

Obi will gerlt more in 2027 than 2023 from the feelers I'm getting.

The youths knows that Obi has conquered greed and if there's corruption against him, the establishment would have brought it out be now. I really do not see someone that can take Obi's place in the Obidient movement atleast till 2027 because that would crash the momentum. We can't just start afresh

Meanwhile, does it really mean you guys don't truly stand for anything but hate for Tinubu and desperation to grab power?

Who would have thought you guys would ever considered pairing El rufai and Saint Obi together??

Not hate for Tinubu; hate for Yoruba. The momentbit was looking like Buhari would Osinbajo for president, these creatures started their "fake pastor" campaign against him. The pain of a Yoruba ruling them is making them irrational. Note Tinubu was not holding any political office when that their rabid dog that's in prison now was telling them to burn down his empire and kill him.

I don't know about that. He may get more votes but still not win. All the coalition happening today is actually good news. People don't understand. People are not going to Tinubu because he has power or he is powerful, they are going to Tinubu because that's where power is for now.

I have seen this happen to Obasanjo, Yar Adua, Jonathan and Buhari. Nigerian politicians are like ants. The worst thing you will have is sycophants around you because all they do is lie to please you. Normally, any serious candidate for the election should be ready by now, so I don't expect anyone to emerge in 2026 but you see what they are doing, it's plain stupid because once you gang up against one candidate, the choices are obvious. Expect more attacks. They are not seeing that people are tired of the same and the same. This regime, from 2023 is now so daring that they don't care anymore. From the legislator to executive and I am not ignoring Governors too. Our politicians are sitting on a keg of gunpowder, the money is still deceiving them that they have poverty votes under control.

papyjaypaul:
A lot of our politicians are indisciplined but I don't think they can read the handwriting on the wall. What Obi proved in 2023 is that you don't need a party to win and Nigerians will vote for independent candidates indirectly. E go shock them

They will be shocked to think that it will be Nigerians against them. It's good how they are showing where their bellies lie before 2027. Let's separate the wheat from the chaff.

Once this is done, only performers will win elections and reelections.

They wouldn't even mind to pair with a devil as they don't have any political direction. Just anything goes

Any combination that sends Tinubu and his son back to Lagos, or more precisely to Iragbiji, is a blessing for Nigeria. At this point, you can bring Judas Iscariot if he can deliver on this quest.

To be clear, love him or hate him, Mallam El-Rufai is a powerful political instrument. I sense that even the contemplation of this combination is beginning to unsettle your political constituency. We will confirm this with the level of attacks and lies you and Tinubu cockroaches will unleash on Mallam El-Rufai in the coming days.

This ticket will not go anywhere. When Pa Tinubu wins again, they will start shouting rigging.
Truth be told, Obi stands no chance in 2027. But, he will be on the ballot to make it easier for Pa Tinubu to win.
The North cannot afford to stay out of power beyond 2031. If they allow Obi, any of this two will happen: Obi rule till 2035 which the North will see as cheating so, will kick against it. OR Obi do a term and scatter Nigeria so there won't be Nigeria after him. This the North will rigorously fight against.
So, they will prefer to manage Pa Tinubu till 2031 to protect their estate and their power equation
