Hello!, Soludo is a Professor, a former CBN Governor and a sitting Governor. Aside being a Governor, what other criteria does Obi sures or even equal to Soludo's standing?

Tell soludo to run for presidency under any political party of his. Choice let's see the number of followers he will amass nationwide

Nonsense angry

This was the same person that his only legacy was a beer factory while Doctors were going on 13months strike. He could only consider beer good enough for the people of Anambra while building his NEXT mall in Abuja.

The same person buying 400 SUVs for traditional rulers while poverty rate was increasing from 27% to 53%. The worst Governor of Anambra ever.

All these BAT ers no wan rest for Obi matter.

Anytime I read obi talks I just laughed because I notice he is already in dementia early stage syndrome.

During this obi of a thing doctors strike for a whooping 13 to 14 months he didn't do anything about it.

This same obi refused bluntly to allow any LGA election for his 8 year as the governor.

This obi was the first governor in Igbo land history to sacked all igbos who are non anambrans from Anabra civil service.

This same bitter man can not point to any 5 road he started and completed during his 8 years of horror.

The list is endless but now obi is a parrot talking bulubla balablu.

Soludo has made it his mission to constantly attack and discredit his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi, at every opportunity. His relentless vendetta against Obi has gone beyond healthy political disagreement and has descended into outright lies and deliberate misinformation.

Soludo’s False Poverty Claims Against Peter Obi

One of Soludo’s most blatant lies was his claim that poverty in Anambra State doubled under Peter Obi’s istration. This assertion is not only false but also easily disproven by data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), during Obi’s tenure. Lagos under Tinubu had 69.4% poverty rate while Anambra had 53.7% under Peter Obi. But Soludo thinks 69.4% poverty rate is better than 53.7%, hence he keeps praising Tinubu who has even made Nigerians poorer since he was sworn in 2023 as Nigerian president. Soludo, as an economist and professor, knows better than to peddle such falsehoods, but his desperation to tarnish Obi’s reputation has pushed him to abandon facts for propaganda.

Soludo’s Hypocrisy on Investments: The Beer Shares Controversy

Recently, Soludo again tried to ridicule Peter Obi’s investment strategy by mocking Anambra State’s shares in a beer company. He claimed that the beer industry has no potential, a shocking statement from someone who calls himself a professor.

One wonders: How did Soludo earn his professorship if he lacks basic knowledge of global investment trends? The beer industry is a multi-billion-dollar sector worldwide, employing millions and generating massive tax revenues. Even Bill Gates, one of the world’s smartest investors, holds shares in Heineken. If the investment was truly worthless, why hasn’t Soludo sold the state’s shares to the person offering to buy them? His hypocrisy is glaring.

The Real Reason Behind Soludo’s Attacks: Political Sycophancy

Soludo’s obsession with attacking Peter Obi is not driven by genuine concern for Anambra State but by his ambition to curry favor with President Bola Tinubu and the APC. His goal is simple: position himself as a loyal opposition voice in the South-East, hoping that Tinubu will reward him with a future presidential ticket.

However, history has shown that sycophants rarely reap lasting rewards. Soludo’s desperation to please Abuja at the expense of truth and good governance will only diminish his credibility. Anambra people and Nigerians at large are watching—they see through his lies and recognize Peter Obi’s legacy of prudence and development.

Soludo’s Mission Will Fail

Soludo’s hatred for Peter Obi is unhealthy and unbecoming of a leader. Instead of focusing on governance, he spends his time fabricating lies against Peter Obi. Unfortunately for Soludo, no amount of propaganda can erase Obi’s legacy.

At the end of the day, Soludo’s sycophancy will bear no fruit. History will Peter Obi as a visionary leader and Soludo as a bitter critic who traded his academic integrity for political opportunism.
The post right ABOVE is largely a cut-and-paste propaganda post laced with some FALSEHOODS to deflect attention.

There are many threads right here on Nairaland from the FIRST and SECOND of Peter Obi as Governor where many Anambra State indigenes themselves heavily criticized Peter Obi for his near-bad governance, misplaced priorities, inability to conduct LGA elections, bad roads, street filth, and more while wishing to have a return of former Governor Chris Ngige. These threads are still here for posterity sake.
The Internet NEVER forgets ANY posts from the PAST and one of the NL threads created by an Anambra State indigene can be CLEARLY read right BELOW:

What Exactly Is Peter Obi Doing In Anambra State?
=>https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/870945/what-exactly-peter-obi-doing
I went to Awka the capital and it was an eyesore. No roads, no planning, no infrastructure etc. There is absolutely no govt in anambra state.

All of a sudden in the 2022 to 2023 Presidential election cycle, some of the Ibos (both males and females) who had insulted and heavily criticized Peter Obi (when he was the Anambra State Governor) for being highly incompetent began to dishonestly and hypocritically hype him up as the best thing "after sliced bread" which amounts to tribal bigotry. They had forgotten (or simply chose to LIE to themselves) that they had made GENUINE and highly damning posts against Peter Obi on NL, Facebook, X, YouTube, blogs and more and these are the things that were dug up online and offline by investigators and discerning people. These people (both males and females) then proceeded to largely play the tribal card and gave him over 90% of votes cast in the South East while Peter won in Lagos State (by just 3,000 votes difference) and Atiku Abubakar won in Osun State by a close margin as well showing that the South West voters were more liberal with their votes by NOT being insular and tribalistically bigoted like a large number of those from the South East! Same for other regions of Nigeria who voted literally across all the political parties.

Aside from Governor Charles Soludo, even the former Governor Willie Obiano stated CLEARLY in a well-circulated article in the mass media through the then Commissioner for Information when Obiano was the Governor of that state that Peter Obi was owing contractors for work already done or still in progress as os when he left office and that Willie Obiano's government had to start looking for "hard to find" funds running into over N1 billion to pay the debts owed to the contractors. In the article, Peter Obi was criticized for NOT paying up the contractors but instead he went about claiming on Poju Oyemade's "The Platform" event in Lagos State and elsewhere (to the applause of gullible listeners) that he invested and saved Anambra State's money in Fidelity which Obiano's government stated clearly SHOULD have been used for developmental purposes and to offset money owed to contractors for carrying out construction projects in Anambra State. Period.

I will update this post when I find the link(s) to former Governor Willie Obiano's criticism of Peter Obi over the non-payment of Anambra contractors.

Obi said, “It is the direct result of years of misplaced priorities. Rather than investing in critical sectors, we have continued to prioritise wasteful spending on non-developmental projects such as conference centres, government houses and lodges, guest houses, and fleets of official vehicles—instead of investing in human capital, education, and healthcare, which are the true legacy projects capable of transforming a nation.”

It will take Soludo years of hard work to match Peter Obi's achievement. We are in Anambra and knows what's up.

Meanwhile, go through this and see that he lied
Soludo made a statement which some of us have to correct him during President Tinubu’s visit..

“The last time a president visited for a commissioning was in 2012 for a brewery”
- Gov. Chukwuma Soludo

The statement is viewed as an attempt to attack Obi who Governor Soludo has never shy away from attacking at every opportunity right from 2023 Presidential election campaign.

Now let me set the record straight as a citizen of the state who have been following events in our state for years.

In 2012, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned:
(1) Inaugurate Orient Petroleum Oil.

(2) SabMiller Brewery

(3) Orange Drugs Company

(4) Krisoral Company

(5) Onitsha Inland Port

(6) 8 lanes Onitsha Head Bridge Enugu Onitsha expressway to Umunya with new parts bridge Nkpor.
Among others

Above listed are some of the triggers to economic growth of the state. I therefore state that the very statement from Soludo was demarketing of the state.

In 2010, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned:

(1) Anambra State University Teaching Hospital.

(2) Anambra State Secretariat

(3) Kenneth Dike Library

(4) Anambra State Emergency Management Complex

(5) Parental Drugs Factory of Juhel Pharmaceutical Industries

(6) so So many roads example : Zik’s Avenue Awka to Nkpor road and Bridges.

(7) the commissioning of the National Agency for Food, Drug, istration and Control, NAFDAC’s upgraded ultra modern area quality control laboratory, at Agulu, Anambra State and many other projects.

(cool the commissioning of the assembly plant of the first indigenous Nigerian auto manufacturing company in Nigeria, Innoson Motor Manufacturing in Nnewi, Anambra State.

President Obasanjo had earlier visited during Peter Obi era in 2006/2007.
Projects Commissioned by President Olusegun Obasanjo are as follows:

(1) Onitsha Business Park: A strategic initiative aimed at boosting commerce and industry in the region.

(2) Revenue House in Awka: Established to improve the state's revenue collection processes.

(3) Anambra State Fire Service Headquarters in Awka: Built to enhance emergency response capabilities.

(4) Flagging off of Awka-Nibo-Nise-Enugwu Ukwu ring road

So it was sad to read Soludo said that what he said.
I have being trying to read what my governor marketed to the visiting President or what he used the opportunity to market as the chief salesman of the state by virtue of his position as the governor, but I am so disappointed with his statement which did not add any value to the state.

Ask grok he thinks otherwise. While digressing to Tinubu even makes Obi record appear worse because Obi met Poverty at 23% and he took it to 53%. And as we have asked you , can you tell us the data of poverty rate in Lagos in 1999 when Tinubu took over from the military?.

Address me on where that state is currently positioned in of academic results relative to Obi's tenure. One of the yardsticks of strong governance.
