A yet-to-be-identified lady was found dead and dumped in a drainage along OGTV Road in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, with her private parts mutilated.

PUNCH Metro learnt on Thursday from a source in the area, who did not want to be mentioned in print because of the nature of the incident, that residents woke up on Tuesday to the gory sight and alerted the police.

The source disclosed that details of how she was dropped there could not be ascertained, but upon closer examination, they realised that her private part had been cut off.

The source said, “A lady was found lifeless on Tuesday in a gutter along OGTV Road, Abeokuta. She was suspected to have been used for a ritual; her private part was missing.

“The police came around and took her body to the State Hospital Morgue in Ijaiye.”

When ed for a reaction on Thursday, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, promised to get back to our correspondent, but she had yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, a senior security officer in the area who was privy to the incident told our correspondent that the deceased was a commercial sex worker.

Peterobiisalie and beerfraud should come and be taking these sort of Ogun headhunting stories to the front page. Only him knows how he manages to spirit all his Indian stories to the front page all the time.

Headhunting has become an epidemic in Ogun state and this should also worry emergency lovers of Nigeria. Don't be selective. No one from outside the country will want to go and live or to invest in any place where the beheading of fellow human beings have become a national pastime.

I make bold to state here that ritual killings is by far the biggest PR disaster that any nation can face. Almost every nation on earth deals with all sorts of heinous crimes including kidnappings for ransom, drugs use, robbery and corruption. But you see ritual murders? Any society like ours that believes in juju and ascribe so much powers it doesn't have to it, including that of making people rich, will always experience this ugly practice of money rituals and the unnecessary waste of human lives that go with it.
