So, I grew up the Catholic Church. It was a second home. I was the weekend receptionist in the rectory as a teenager. I started our Catholic Youth Organization, volunteered with the amazing Sister who did my catholicism. She taught me about social justice and the word of God. The Monsignor/Rector used to walk around the church at night picking up trash. And it was a big church. We would do food drives, meals on wheels, check in on the elderly and serve food at the Homeless shelter down the street. I've always associated social justice with Christianity. So, it is always so jaring hearing these Conservative Christian Republicans talk about their vision of Christianity.

Anyhow,I was thrilled at the direction of the Church under Francis and hope Pope Leo continues that direction and giving by his tweets I am hopeful.
