For me chicken no dey go well with egusi soup infact the soup go dey somehow for my palate. Prefer fish especially combos including stockfish, dry catfish and other assorted dry fish and also add ponmo and goat meat inside the soup. Another thing people fall to understand is that there is no one way of cooking the soup. Different people, different ethnicity, different styles, different condiments with the egusi as the focal point. For me I prefer my egusi prepare with bitterleaf, fish, goat meat, ponmo and periwinkles without shells. I don't fancy egusi with waterleaf, chicken, tomatoes, even ugu leaves. 1 Like |

Caaz: Does eba really qualify for being called 'grocery' in this context? Granted it is staples food, but is it really being gotten from a grocer/supermarket? This is a staple food that can be processed at home for private use or otherwise for commercial use. Let's simplify our lives through usage of proper simple language: Garri. |

nnamdi640:Asked yourself....who cooks food without pepper? Because i didnt included pepper, nor mean say pepper nor dhey. Secondly people needs to explore other ways of cooking soups, seems our minds has been conditioned to use one particular style. I xplore my egusi soup with different veggies, more of greens, curry leaf and ugu. Using different veggies is individual choices. Thanks! |
