Mutual funds is still an option. She will be paid the interest monthly into a different bank if she wants.

It can act as a monthly salary to her. She can earn between 80k to 100k monthly from the 5 million

Tell me more about Mutual funds please

why not just put it in MoneMarket Fund pending when you have a better alternative.

At interest rate of at least 20%, She should expect anywhere from 83,000 Naira Monthly.

Mind you, no investment is Risk free; just that some are much lower

How can someone go about this money market?

Enter the banking hall and ask the bank staff.
They should take it from there.

What kind of risk do mean risk like cbex that all capital will be lost,I know fixed deposit, and treasury bill people don't loose their money, just explain a bit like the risk involved

cBex is a HYIP, not a TRUE investment vehicle.

In Investment banking, there are different types and each carries different level of risk. See eh, for a newbie, get started with either FGN-Bonds, Treasurty Bills, or Money Market Funds. Those are almost risk free, and ensure preservation of your capital. Don't worry, those ain't like cbex and it's likes.

if you need more understanding, either do research, or give me a call. To type sometimes dey confusing

Good afternoon investors

Pls suggest an investment for an aged woman she had retired and can't do any work ,she want to invest 5m aside treasury bils what else can she invest on.(risk Free)
I am thinking of bond but I don't know about it and how she will go about it,

Also is bond a risk free like Treasury bills

Money Market Fund(MMF) is better. She can opt for monthly payment of interest to her . That will serve as a monthly pension. If she opt for Treasury Bills, she gets the interest upfront and she might be tempted to spend all within a short time. Once she spends the upfront interest and now need urgent money, she will now have to break it and pay penalty for early termination.

Stanbic ibtc has a link that can be used to access tbills (both primary and secondary market), all you have to do is input ur number, then an OTP is sent to the phone number and email address linked to your .

Secondly, with this link, you get to see all secondary market rates available for each day in real time.

Thirdly, you can access the primary market auction even if you have less than 50 million (however, I wasn't able to choose my own rate, so I had to go with the bank's rate). STANBIC's last rate was 19.2 ish.

I tried it out this last auction and it worked. Just said to update you guys. It's really easy and seemless. So you can reach out to your officer to send you the link.

No, it's totally different. This one shows you the bank's daily bids for secondary market and also, you can access the primary market auction on the platform.
