But you do have the light constant?
There is no place in Nigeria that have constant light, but I could boast of 20hrs light
Paramount01(m): 5:41am On May 09
richmond500:
yes I do

Is better now,you can easily control your light, off everything and on only what you need, change your fans to inverter fans , including you fridge and bulb.bros,I dey pray to have that kind of light with the same billing let it just be prepaid,I can use 10k in a month.

I am jealous of you. Before I stopped using Napa completely, I was spending 170k/month on electricity in my two bedroom apartment. Appliances includes: deep freezer, fridge, 1.5hp ac (10to 15hrs daily), fans, bulbs, kitchen electronics, 3 tvs. Now I am completely off grid through the use of solar

*modify - I see people asking my solar set up:

Initially, I was using nepa together with a 2.5kva inverter + 2pcs 220ams battery (no s). After I relocated to a new place with band A, the elect bill suffocated me. I discarded my both nepa and upgraded my solar system. Now I am using a 10kva inverter, 15kwh lithium battery and 16pcs of 500w s in my 3 bedroom apartment. This powers my freezer, inverter fridge, washing machine, water dispenser, 2pcs of 1.5hp ac, 4pcs TV, fans and bulbs. Mind you, solar will make you learn load management even more than when you are using nepa. All the applainces are on from 8am to 5pm. Then I start switching off some so I can use my ac at night (I put ac at 28/29 degrees + fan to circulate the cold air). Not for one day have a gone even for 10 minutes without light since I put this set up. Solar is expensive no doubt, but it is worth it at the end

I love what you said,Solar will teach you more light management than nepa light. Many people don't manage nepa light that is why they complain but they will never complain when they are the one controlling their power themselves, you see them offing everything and on the most important one

Seems you always have light. Kudos to you bro. Why the complain now? Some areas don't always have light and they still pay around 50 to 100k per month, if not paid, NEPA can decide to come and pack their wires.....not only cut o but cut and pack away.....Sope tie o.... 😂....

Honestly it's been 2 years I installed prepaid meter, before then, the useless light was not available. The moment I installed the prepaid meter, the light now became stable and I've never one day turn on my AC. I only do with solar.once I pump water, iron ,I turn back to solar.money must not finish

That is way to go,but the light is stable right?

I am firmly contemplating the struggles that civil servants face in coping with the soaring cost of living in Nigeria. It is crucial to recognize the challenge of feeding a family of five, including those in universities and secondary schools.

Life isn't fair to all.

Take you eyes 👀 off higher institution except you want to kill yourself.Let the children be using nelfund ,

For the past 10yrs, I have never lived in a place where I get less than 20hrs light, except when I visit my village

So I do not see 20hrs as a big deal

I use to hear "inflation is coming down.

I do not see how it is coming down o.
N10,000 only gives me around 40kwh of electricity which lasts me for only 2weeks to power

•my AC for like 1hr daily
•Fridge is powered for around 10hrs
•Ceiling fan is powered for around 15hrs daily
•And 3 light bulb around for 7hrs.

I spend around 20k monthly on just light bill.
Light bill and rent alone cost around 55k per month, rent is 400k per year. it outrageous.
rent should be around 35k monthly if it is 400k annually.

The fact that some nigerians in their right mind still defend this stupidity called cost reflective tariff annoys me. When it's time to justify wickness you make comparison with the rest of the world but when the masses demands what's obtainable in the rest of the world pertaining their welfare you simply they are living in Nigeria and not spending dollars.

Has power generation improved significantly? I relatively have same hours of power since 2010 in my area, yet bill is shooting off the roof.

You know the joy of it is that we are all in this mess together. How do you justify this massive inflationary effects in 10years of a particular political party's rule.

Only kids and fraudsters will not complain of this regime. To an adult Nigerian now 10, 20, 50 and 100 naira notes are virtually useless.

A country wants to bill us like the western world yet her minimum wage is less than 50 dollars. Let's all continue pretending that all is well. A big burst is coming soon.

Okay, when running your business make sure your prices favor the poor.

Categorization of electricity into bands is one of the most stupid things this govt did.

Everyone should have 24/7 electricity, and everyone should be billed the same. But no. The scam called Band A.

And the power minister is already hinting at hiking electricity costs. Again.

Electricity in Nigeria has always been like that (though not really classified until 2020). But this government has nothing to do with the classification into bands or the uneven distribution of electricity. Get your facts right.

I had to stop tracking my monthly expenses because it was giving me mental issues. No month I don’t spend more than 1 mil. No need to explain to some here as majority wouldn’t even understand.but its crazily scary

People wouldn't understand, they think everyone is in the same shoes.

When I visited Nigeria earlier this year, I observed that the power being supplied often has a higher reactive power. This causes your meter to read faster, as if you're running heavy inductive loads, even when you're not. If you use an inverter, you’ll notice your fan runs faster on inverter power because it provides clean, stable energy at 220V and 50Hz. But when NEPA power is on, the fan speed drops. It seems to be a tactic used by electricity companies to increase consumption readings and, ultimately, revenue.

Guy. There are apps on Android phones for this that you can input your inflow & expenses & on excel sheet, no need writing with pen and book. You can access it anywhere, anytime so far you have a browsing phone or computer with internet access. It's how I track my expenses. It's way more convenient. Just a suggestion.

Bros,I have the spread sheet called black note both for income generated and outflow.

This is like a manual one which is also more convenient for me.

Below is the app called black note that I use.

So that what you are complaining will stop.Everybody Wil be moved to band A and get required numbers of light then pay the same amount

In a sane country, electricity is electricity. Having constant, ceaseless power isn't rocket science. It's unfortunate that 60+ years after independence, we've not gotten it right.

And I have a video of the current president telling us to vote him out if he can't provide electricity after his 1st tenure.
