The best way is to ban all betting companies to shut all betting store and go online fully with a law in place to give a percentage from all betting companies into a commission with offices all over Nigeria to help those who’re addicted to sport betting and are willing to stop. That how they did it here in yanke
It can be done too in naija
That one won't work in this country, the reason is that the percentage given out by the betting companies will be looted by somebody.

All those aviator, virtual ,zoom etc are gambling.

Gambling is a business and is as old as prostitution! So why the fused?

Gambling exist in other countries before it came to naija n the rise of gsm in the country made it grow more.

Its a business which is risky..while some lose, some still gain from it.
Engage the youths in meaningful activities and they will less visit the betting shops!

Hahahahahaha, all this talk about betting being an epidemic only comes from weak people and losers who are always afraid to DARE themselves and the odd thing is that this same pathetic losers are worshippers of the western world and values where betting is way more practiced and worshipped but this same losers dare not complain about it over there.

I love this exposé on gambling. It is becoming a serious epidemic. Not only young people but also the older generation, all and sundry, have become caught up.
When you see a woman in her 50s or 60s returning home with her daughter's kids stopping by to play 'baba ijebu', you get a hint at what the economy portends for the future of the country.
The bookies take advantage of the economic crunch to 'cash out,' as they would say. Slowly, we encourage vices into the society (even yahoo-yahoo has become a norm, a type of 'hustle)
All this is a result of a failed economy/state.

I was once addicted to betting it's brutal, I've now gone a whole year without staking a penny on betting....

You are one of the few lucky ones who can escape the trap of gambling.

Gamblers live in perpetual regrets:
When losing, they regret the decision to stake;
When winning, they regret not staking more.
The unending dilemma of a gambler.

What is simulation?
favour32:
If UNA talk from here to Jericho, bets have helped a lot.

Follow these rules;
Don't be greedy!
Few accumulating.
Don't chase your losses.
Use logic and maths in applications.
Never bet under pressure.
No sentiment attached to outcomes.

Go and advise government in respect to the economic policies which have impoverished the people absolutely.

When the economy is poor, people turn to gambling.

Early 90s,Russia's economy collapsed as result of the disintegration
of former Soviet Union and the hidden hands of USA(cold war).
Gambling increased in Russia as result of the poor economy due to facts above.

Nigeria's case is not unusual.
If the economy is improved, gambling will reduce dramatically.
Right now,
go and advise the federal government.

Check leading economies of the world, there are little or no gambling in such places.

***Avoid virtual or simulation of any kind.
