Eating healthier is not about cutting out foods but majorly about eating a more balanced diet --- protein, fiber, nutrients, and minerals, all while paying attention to caloric intake. Whether you get your carbohydrates from noodles, spaghetti, bread, or junk food does not matter in the end. undecided

I for call you MUMU, but let me be a bit lenient with you.

Exercise is the master of positive energy and strong mentality , you must not be muscular is not the major benefit of exercise.
It must not be in the gym you can find some home workout routine, For example I've not been to the gym since over 5years now but I do 200 pushups 3 reps each, 200back press 3 reps each then 100 sit-ups 3 reps each every morning form Mondays to Fridays and still have time for my 8-5 at the hospital.

Forget about what anyone has told you, here lies your problem. I know this because I was in the same position earlier in life in my 100 level period.

Your problem is either:
1. You have nor been in a conducive environment for a long time. Once you find yourself in the right environment you will be happy being yourself.

2. Lack of motivation and happiness... let me tell you a story, there was a time I was so broke that I had on 10naira on me.. I was in my room for 2 days no food , only drinking water. I was lying down weak and felt dejected and depressed. I was so hungry that I couldn't stand up to go to have my bath. But as soon as I received alert from my parents and strength came out from nowhere. I got up, took my bath and trekked to the bank. When you are happy you feel strong and ginger.

3. Family upbringing.... children from most families where there is no real love usually experience depression. Some families like to instill fear in kids and as a result the children turn out to be timid, anxious and/or fearful.

4. Finally I think you are just missing something that makes you happy. What is that thing that you love doing? For some people it's sex, others love to gym, some love to go shopping, etc find a way to engage in something you love or be around people that genuinely love you and allow you to be your real self.

Solution:
Do what you love. Since I was born I have never worked at a job. I hate being around people. During my nysc I didn't go to camp, I didn't attend PPA for one day, I only went for that stuff they did once a month abi week.
Make sure you do what makes you happy and be in an environment that motivates you. For example even if I'm given a bank job with high pay I will reject it because I hate such environments.
In the western world, people that encounter such issues as yours are sometimes put on anti depression/anxiety medications, these medications is like replacing a dead battery with a new one. They make you agile and active and at the same time you feel relaxed and strong mentally. Just that they can become addictive. If you watch prison break there is a guy called Alex Mahone, the drugs he was taking made him so smart. I personally know some drugs that could help you but you really need to think long and hard before you partake in it bcs it gives you an entirely new personality and can be addictive.

@almantra, when you wake up everyday, make sure to drink coffee before you start your day. Not the mixed decaffeinated coffee that hardly works, I meant the main Nescafé coffee in iron container.
Start your day with it and be shocked at how explosive your energy gets afterwards.

Change your bad attitude from your mindset, and then engage in physical exercise like jogging, climbing stairs and press-up for like 30 or 40 minutes. Your blood flow, agility and physical movement will increase.

1. Have you ever fasted for a month to detox, have only fruits, nuts & vegetables during this period to detox
2. Buy a jump rope
3. Try to learn the habit of going to the gym and/or playing football
4. Could be your footwear too. Get something that makes walking easy

These are the only points I can think of that would help with agility, depression etc

I was an introvert until people start seeing as a weak person then boom, my craze started, I always remained calm but person should not dear say shit about me, I confront the person and even in market face, I no dey shame once it comes to defending and fighting back. I could remain indoors a week but once I step out and you won't give me a peace, I will make the environment hell for you , na the person go even beg me to return back to my indoor

How fat are you? Nevertheless, number one key is to start excersice like press up or running in the early morning. It might be difficult but you should boost your mental health by yourself by resisting You can't do it.
Make sure you do Press-up 10, 10, into 50 ONLY every morning.
Before going to work make sure you take COFFEE. If you can afford Nescafe Blended
(it's foreign) better still you buy 300h 3inOne Coffee and take every morning.
In the evening try and take One Apple, Green color, you will be fine within 2 weeks.
Put it a try and thank your starts.
