;DMedicine and surgery

Are people still dying to read this course

It’s 2025 the world has moved on from medicine and surgery

No one gives a flying fvck about you all

No one is impressed with your Dr title and your MBBs degree

Deal with it and come to with it

Hello good day everyone, I recently graduated from the department of Botany with. And I felt I should go for medicine again, as it was what applied for before it got changed to what I studied. I just tend to occasionally experience this ion for mbbs time to time. I haven't told my parents about it though. I am waiting for NYSC program presently. What do you all think Docs? And am also not sure if my parents will be convinced. Am considering BUK.

NB: I am 29 already

1. Why did you wait till graduation before having the courage to want to walk this walk? Were you forbidden from sitting the UTME?

2. If your parents are not paying for the medicine degree, I don't really think they should be bothered about this your decision

3. BUK pays more than 200k in fees for MBBS/BDS, have you thought hard enough about raising the fees?

You have a point. Ain't that worried, just that I have a special medical condition and they have a role to play in managing it.

I didn't wait till graduation Boss, I even sat for jamb while in 200 level, but didn't perform well both in the utme and post utme so I couldn't get it, also I fell sick, very probably due to the stress accumulated from my rigorous study for the exams while still running my program. After then I became skeptical about trying again.

2. That's right.
3. I have thought about it but frankly I don't know how to raise such fees

In very few words, go for it. It would come with challenges but you'd be fine at the end of the day. 29 is not old.

Laptop is good but it is not really necessary. In all she should make sure to master her slides and use textbooks for reference and further understanding. Its UNEC right? She should be very fast when studying because time is very short and of essence. She should study very well there is no time.

Agree on the laptop comment. Tablets are better.

Besides, hard paper textbooks are a drag on speed and adapting. Good for reference, which the library should have.

I believe NELFund can sort out the fees, what you should be bothered about is upkeep while studying.

Where there's the will, there would be a way, you should focus on gaining the ission first.

Checkout the environs of the university you intend attending. You should be able to have many hustling options. Universities in bigger cities would be fine

Good afternoon, I want to ask how my chance for medicine in UI through direct entry. I have B.Sc in Botany with a cgpa of 4.31 (second class upper) and also have a Master’s degree in Plant Physiology. I finished with a PhD grade. So I want to ask for my chance for UI medicine.

You'd have to consider writing the UTME. Last I checked to be considered for ission into Medicine via DE, you should have a first degree in any of the Basic Medical Sciences or Nursing.

An MSc, while laudable, is not considered as a criteria for ission into Medicine.

Some schools accept Biology...which is not in the BMS.

Botany seems a bit far, but this is me just saying. I know of schools that take Biology...

Only way is to have someone physically go check it out for you in the college. If you are close to the school, visit and find out.

Good luck.
