A mild drama played out at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday when the wife of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, Mrs. Favour Michael Kanu, had her mobile phone confiscated by the presiding judge for allegedly attempting to record a live video during court proceedings.

Speaking with an ABN TV correspondent shortly after the incident, Mrs. Kanu explained that the court session had already ended and the matter had been adjourned to April 2nd before she began a live video on her phone.

“They have seized my phone! The judge seized my phone and threatened to charge me with contempt for recording,” she said in frustration, adding in a Facebook post, “Well, my phone is gone.”

Despite her explanation that she did not record during active court proceedings, the judge reportedly maintained that recording within the courtroom premises without permission remains a violation of court rules and decorum. A warning of possible contempt charges was also issued.

The session was part of the ongoing legal battle involving IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whose case has drawn both national and international attention.

Wait, is there a law that says live proceedings cannot be captured?

I don't know much about courts proceedings, can lawyers help answer the question?

If you get caught for breaking protocol or the law, you can always claim it's because of your tribe.

This protocols and laws always take flight whenever it's a drug dealer and his cohorts beating and flogging people for voting opposition.

Law is suspended when drug dealer and his friends switch off IREV and announce themselves as election winners by 4AM.

But once it is Igbos, full law comes into full effect.

Igbo people should abide by the law and stop crying wolf undecided

You people took the "criminal and drug cartel in the country's highest sit" to court in the country where y'all said he committed the crime but the judges of that country said they have no records of him on the crime.

What more do y'all want ??

These are strange times so people have to be careful.

I still don't get it why detain nnamdi Kanu over terrorism charge yet you forgive and pardon so called repentant Jihadist.

Nigeria. Is the only country in the world that
absorbs. So called repentant terrorist into its Army. There by compromising it.

Crying victims. Shebi it is the same thing that India and Thailand judges are doing by sending only Igbo drug traffickers to death and freeing others.

Nobody went to meet Kanu to start fighting for Biafra, as at the time he intensified his Biafra problem it was not needed, since he started he dragged the south east into a hole of insecurity, suspicion and constant seat at home,

He should carry his cross himself
