IMPORTANT: I see some people doubting my nationality, here you go brothers and sisters, i posted this thread in 2023 >> https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/7748922/educated-nigerians-it-true-contract

Pardon my english where you will find errors, its not my main language

I was interested to know more about Nigeria ever since i was fond of Nigerian movies in Late 90s to 2000s, by that time i thought all Nigerians wear red caps, greet by saying igwe, and other stuff but it was later when i knew it was just one tribe.

Any way to cut the story short, with the rise of internet i digged deeper and knew about the Biafra war which i wouldn't like to talk more of it but i was just surprised how the Igbos bounced back fast, That's when i realized they are good in making money.

BUT ! i heard Igbos complaining Tribalism, at first i had pitty on them but as i dug deeper i somehow see the problem is also in IGBOS.

Being Loud at your neighbour homes is a big problem for Igbos, Its okay to be loud when you are successful at your home or far away in foreign lands, example Igbos can be loud in South East or in other countries outside Nigeria, The same to Yoruba can also be Loud in South west of other countries.

Problem with Igbos, Being Loud at neighbours example Lagos, and the loud i am speaking of also includes being provocative to natives, Just imagine your neighbour coming to the place you live and even ancestors lived a long time and they start to say it is no mans land, Chai ! (one of the few catchy words i liked when watching Nigerian movies)

The little small small success you have you start rubbing it on the natives, this is why uts very easy to shift a blame in Igbos, people already have a grudge it takes a little spark to make them burn the Igbo shops, destroy houses, etc. How dare you go to a neighbour house and start flexing as if you own it, the land their grand fathers resided, NOT IN MY HOUSE !!

I don't know much about the northern parts but for the little i know those places its more about religion, the places are filled with Muslims and even worse headed by these traditional rich leaders who wear like Arab sultans, i think those places play no games,

So Nigeria has 3 main Tribes Hausa, Yoruba's and Igbos but only 2 will be in charge, bad enough from what i have seen from the power game. the Igbos are left so behind, left to follow not to make decisions for a long time.

The only way Igbo can have power is getting on the same pace with Yoruba's, i will even praise Yoruba's they are some how with open arms, ready to be good neighbours if the Igbos are willing to change.

I know the Igbos are good in business, i have come across random lists of top rich people in Nigeria, lists are flooded by Hausas like Dangote (he has a cement factory in Tanzania) and Yoruba's but when it comes to wealth distribution that is what matters more and Igbos have good ratio

But then its still incomplete without power, money is just paper and the one in power can make it disappear with a snap of finger, it can be kind of alright by now but what about the future ? Even in business you might be good but if those in power use it to an extent to block or hinder you there is little you can do, it might be alright today but what about future ?

There is no Oduduwa, Arewa or Biafra, Its already Nigeria, with any possible means try to co exist with others,

Don't be deceived Mr. foreigner, nobody is marginalizing Igbos.. how many elective positions in Igboland are held by non-Igbos?NONE.
How many elective positions are Igbos holding outside Igboland? PLENTY.

They are littered all over every nook and cranny of the country doing business freely, buying lands and building houses without stereotype or disturbance but how many non-Igbos are getting similar treatment in Igboland? FEW.

If you're looking for marginalized tribe in Nigeria.. it's the Yorubas, right from Awolowo to M.K.O who was denied his election victory to the unfair treatment of Yorubas by the GEJ Govt.
The only time Yorubas entered mainstrem politics in Nigeria was 2023 when PBAT emerged President.. check history, it has been Fulanis and Igbos doing padi padi, sharing everything shareable.

your feeble attempt at disguising your true persona and tribe is a shipwreck! If you want Igbos in your so called nation...treat them well sir! You do not want fellow country men....y'all want slaves in chains!

Igbos are doing business freely until it's time for elections and Yorubas tell them to go back to their state. Lol. Do you know how many igbos and igbo look alike were beaten and flogged during the 2023 elections just because they came out to vote in Lagos?

Biko, stop writing this. Abeg.

As someone from Botswana myself, I strongly agree with you brother.

In Botswana my country, Igbos are cherished but they also tell us that Botswana is a no man's land.

Anyway thanks for the great write up, my regards to Diamond Platnumz and Juma Jux cool

Do you want to hold positions in Igbo land from Ibadan where you reside? When you have refused to travel to the east? The Igbos who hold positions in other regions, go figure: they have integrated into the culture of their hosts. You can easily find Igbos who speak Yoruba, Hausa, and other languages. How many Yoruba people speak Igbo? How many Hausa people speak Igbo? My brother, if you want to hold positions in Igbo land, go there and live. Position will not come to you from the east in your Ogbomosho enclave!

I came with open heart, because I thought the OP have a reasonable opinions because I like to learn.

But to my surprise even the LOUD he talked about is not explained deeply anywhere.

Infact I suspect this OP is from yellowba, they like sneaking behind different identity as they are never straightforward. Hiding as a Tanzania makes it very petty and stupid
