Good morning all, please I am new on this thread . I am looking at legalizing and authenticating my certificates before I look for ission.

Good day everyone. Please has anyone from OAU(Obafemi Awolowo University) been able to authenticate and legalise their transcript.

I'm having a hard time getting an official transcript from OAU. OAU only sends official copy to schools abroad.

If the receiver is in Nigeria, they will send student copy. I'm confused on how to go about the authentication and legalisation of my transcript from this school.

Getting PhD ission is easier and in most cases, the tuition are cheaper if you already have your masters. You stand a better chance to get scholarship as a PhD student too . You may want to [email protected] for more info.
All the best!

Hello gurus in the house,

Please kindly assist I have a few questions

1. I got an ission for masters programme in Portugal for September they have asked me to pay the registration fee which is about 500 euros plus another 600 as the first installment of the tuition fees before the 23rd, and only after that will they issue me the ission letter. Is this a normal process?

2. I am Nigerian, I live in Lagos but I have a UK BSc. The university did not ask me for legalization for the application or registration process, do I still need to legalise and authenticate for visa application. If so, how do i go about it?

4. What other documents will I need verification and legalization for?

5. I had a change of name years back, do I need to and legalise these documents for visa application i.e the affidavit for change of name and the newspaper public notice?

5. Please kindly help me outline the up to date visa process if I want to do it myself. Including timelines if possible.

6. How much do I need to have as proof of funds and for how many months? Will N8m suffice? Can I use a company as a sponsor if my own does not have enough?

Thank you so much in anticipation for your answers.

Getting your transcript from OAU is very easy compared to other schools. You can get the hardcopy directly from OAU, I have authenticated and legalized my certificate.

Do you requested for it online or is there someone that's helping you? Whenever you requested for transcript, OAU will also give you your own copy( student copy) . Have you gotten your own copy? With that, you will know whether they've actually sent it to MOE

I used the online platform. I havent gotten anything. On the portal, it says transcript has been generated, but it is yet to be approved and sent. I have a student copy of my transcript, but i was told it is the original transcript we need to authenticate and legalise, if not i wouldve used my student copy.

The student copy I'm talking about is the one given to you alongside with your transcript, not the one you generated yourself. The one I'm talking about must have registrar stamp and signature. If it's that one you can definitely use it
