Why is network always disturb every first day of the Jamb

Many comments here don't make sense. If they didn't protest this way, they'd lose another year. JAMB will definitely reschedule. It happens every year but jamb would always look the other way. It's not good at all. Time is so precious.

Tomorrow when the UTME organizers ask them to pay a fee for the damages before the can write the exams, these clowns will then start blaming government and claiming hardship.

Whether they like it or not, they will pay for the damages.

I the students on this.
There should be consequences for technical glitches tongue
INEC officials were so lucky to have escaped lynching in the last presidential election, And that leads to the catastrophic economy we are experiencing today cool
Enough of changing goal post in the middle of football match and on the pretense of glitches shocked

You like their spirit. LOL. I hope you'll love their cries too when they are asked to pay for damages before they can write the exams. They are still growing and have a lot to learn about discipline. GenZ or not. Trust me, a lot of us ed through their stage and we learnt to understand that there are consequences for certain things. It will most likely be a collective punishment.
Those days when there was ALUTA in universities and serious damages were done to school property, whether you participated or not, there was a penalty fee for all students. Thats how it works. Being a GenZ no be excuse.

I understand their anger because those who got screwed due to no fault of theirs will still have to wait for a year before they can retake the exam. No makeup test, no refund, no nothing. Not even an apology. It's a disgrace.
There is makeup test, there is ability in jamb.

You are joking right grin

Since when has violence changed anything.

I during Ghana-Nigeria 2000 in the area where i lived, during Nigeria vs Congo group stage matches. Immediately the teams filed out and reciting the National Anthem, NEPA took light. That was how boys marched to NEPA office and destroyed equipments and blinded an official. For 9 months there was no power supply for the whole area that year. That was 25 years ago and as we speak, NEPA still screw their customers.

Violence does not changes anything it only compounds it.

There is something called non-violence social change which works. You need to read Mahatma Ghandi books.

For the glitches caused by JAMB, the candidates could have filed a class action suit against JAMB and will get favourable judgement. Thats what civilised people do. Everything is not nzogbu nzogbu.

On the bright side...these Gen Zs or their offsprings will be the ones to change the country for good. Just watch. They have all it takes to challenge...!

Angry JAMB Candidates Smash Chairs at Ibadan Exam Centre Over Technical Glitch

A wave of anger swept through a JAMB examination centre in Ibadan, Oyo State, as frustrated candidates went on a rampage, damaging chairs and other properties. The unrest followed a reported technical fault that caused delays in the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The chaos broke out on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Abimbola Excel School CBT centre situated in the Elesin, Amuloko area along Akanran Road in Ona Ara Local Government Area of Ibadan.

Footage obtained by IntelRegion revealed the agitated candidates venting their frustration by vandalizing plastic chairs within the exam hall, expressing outrage over their inability to participate in the scheduled test.
Although security officials eventually arrived to calm the situation and restore order, there were no reports of any arrests made during the incident.

This disruption adds to a series of recurring technical issues that have plagued the UTME in recent years. Similar challenges were recorded in 2024, prompting JAMB to reschedule affected students’ examinations.
The 2025 UTME officially began on Thursday, drawing over two million participants nationwide aiming for ission into various tertiary institutions.

According to figures released by JAMB officials, a total of 2,030,627 candidates ed to take the exam across multiple centres in Nigeria.

Interestingly, among those ed, 41,026 candidates are below the age of 16.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB spokesperson, noted that the board had made necessary adjustments in collaboration with its partner agencies to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams despite such interruptions.

When did they start implementing that? Cos some of my buddies had their PCs shut down on them while taking the exam in 2015 and couldn't do anything but return a year later.
