All I can see here is that your mother is an evil witch. Apologies, but it is what it is. There is no way your father wouldnt have ed you to at least secondary school. A typical Anambra man will never deny his children of , except he is financially handicapped. My children's fees right from nursery to university were all paid by me through my wife's , but she has always made it clear to my children that their father has been the one paying their fees. I pity you and your future. A man who calls his father a fool in public is already condemned to misfortune. You are acting out of youthful exuberance, but you will learn the hard way. No wonder , you get rabbit teeth, as E be like say your papa curse done dey manifest.
Don't quote me because I won't reply you. Tufia gi. Abomination
you are a fool sir

"Gender gap" based on Western concepts, not Korean beliefs. Western concepts are not universally binding. Women in Kano believe they are free, but those in Imo don't believe the same. The problem becomes when Imo women try to dictate to Kano women on what to adhere to.

As for "gender gap", a gender friendly society does not increase birth rates. The birth rates across the Nordics, seen as the most "gender equal" societies, are equally very low. Although not as low as South Korea. Japan, another society ranked low on gender friendliness, like South Korea, has a higher birth rate. Niger Republic is not gender friendly or equal, but has a higher birth rate.

In summary, feminism and gender friendliness lead to lower birth rates, not the opposite.
I can tell you about south Korean politics, culture and traditions more than I can talk about Nigeria. The rest of your write up means nothing to me.
Don't talk about a country if you know nothing about their culture and traditions.

When I do get married, I am only doing a court wedding and no one from my family will be there since I am not doing it in Nigeria and have zero plans to ever visit.

Just because you watch K-drama and listen to K-pop all day does not make you an ethnic Korean. Why do you think I don't know the traditions and culture of South Korea equally? I live in the region; you don't. Have you visited or actually lived in South Korea? Have you lived, studied, and worked alongside South Koreans anywhere across East Asia? Do you even speak Korean? Can you, without a translator app, read Kanji?

Thing is: gender equal rankings use Western metrics, and it is unbalanced because every culture is different. Most importantly, gender equality does not lead to higher birth rates, the reason I referenced the Nordic nations. I maintain my stance regarding the intial comment: Chile and South Korea have similar birth rates and both share a strong feminist movement. Okay, Chile is ranked higher than Korea in the so-called gender gap, why is the birth rate as low as South Korea? Why is it not higher than Saudi Arabia? Please don't mention religion after all, if gender gap metrics are culturally universally binding, so should birth rates.

1st Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his own family, especially for his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

I'm just wondering, has he intentionally refused to provide? Like, he doesn't drop anything for the family? Like for food, rent, light bills, etc.?

When I say useless, I mean useless. Infact I started paying house rent when I graduated from university to help my mom as the whole load was too much on her.

What was the reason for his lack of provision for the family?

I'm asking because I believe I have had a similar but worse situation, but I don't look at it the way you do. Mine even ed away when I was about 13. He left nothing. He never paid my fees or gave me money when he was with us. Mum was more or less the bread winner. But I don't consider him to have been "useless". Things just went bad for him which eventually lead to his death in fact. My father was respectable in the sense that he was strict and religious. He never visited brothels, beer palours, etc. I don't know if this is the case with yours?

lol being strict and religious without provision is useless as the bible says that in the eyes of God an infidel who does all that and provides is better than the one who doesn’t and doesn’t provide. What is the use of his religiosity to me without provision. Shey I will use his goodness to buy food in the market, pay house rent and other bills.

I believe if his father was capable to provide for the family and chose just not to, he'd have indicated.

The vibe he's giving is he hates his dad for being unable to provide(broke). Basically calling him useless for that. All the rant about the man has totally been about financial provision and nothing else.

If that's the case, the guy that talks about his Mom might not be totally wrong. You don't develop that kind of thinking without the mom rubbishing him over the years. Call him useless and unable to provide while she sweats to pay everything. Thereby developing hatred for the man.

It's really unfortunate. It's the first time I've ever heard anyone call his/her father/mother a fool and useless without any traumatic experience to back it up.

My dad never paid my tuition fees all the way from primary school to university. When I was going to university, I didn’t go to university in Nigeria. He practically told my mom not to waste the money and she should use it to build house in the village. When I say useless, I mean useless. Of course he can’t call my phone cause he knows what he will receive.

God bless my dad, I and my brother are who we are today because of the sacrifices of my dad and mum. Na why i no dey wait make in ask before I credit in aza. A man who would go naked just to see us through school. I love you dad.

Africans hardly go to south America.

The African presidents that could even go to South America are those from portugese speaking countries like são tome e principe, Ethiopia etc. And their last stop would be Brazil.

The other thing that could take a Nigerian president to south America is the G-20 summit, of which the last stop would most likely be Rio in Brazil.

The chances of Balablu going to Chile for recreation or deplomacy is zero.

I get you💯.

I was also shocked and almost wanted to comment when I saw that post at the time it was made, BUT seeing as it was a personal one to him, I didn't see the need to be the one doing defender of the universe on this topic.

I do know I heard a similar comment from one of my before babes, married and all, but brought up the comment while we were gisting on broad topics one day, literally same description..and I asked her some questions like how you take know say no be your papa dey give your mama your school fees, shey you dey there when they have those kain discussions enough to know the full picture, and other questions which she didn't give satisfactory answers for , but since na her papa she dey call useless, I decided there was no need to drag things further, BUT I made some changes following that conversation. Prior to that conversation, I would always send money for school fees and upkeep money to my wife, who then would pay to the school and all that. So to the school and to my kids, na Mrs D dey pay. It hit me that just like my former babe, my kids, the school, the market people, the street people we buy things from, all get trfs from my wife, and hypothetically if things were to go south between us, no one would believe that I was the one funding everything. They would believe her. How many people I go show bank statements say I have been bankrolling every as a responsible father and head of the home? That day I sat my daughters who were both less than 5 at the time and told them explicitly the role I play as the financier of everything as far as the home is concerned, and got my wife to also corroborate same, and for every single thing I do, my wife tells them so they say Daddy thank you. Beyond just care, I saw clearly that I also need to let them know what I do for them, not cos I need their thanks, but just so one child will not grow up to believe my mummy was paying for everything. Till today I send the school fees directly and they bring the school receipt to me, not my wife o, my kids gangan. It appears if you don't toot your horn, you run the risk of being grossly misjudged..............not talking about the deadbeat dads

Then there is the place of dads who are struggling and doing the best they can with the cards they have been dealt. Life's full of ups and downs. If you know a man is doing all he can, he shouldn't be despised cos he isn't rich. If you know a man is working assiduously to provide something, no matter how small, the size of the heart is what should matter, not the gift......

Uncle Henry na the richest person wey I know as per family ties. Has been in Mobil since 2000., bro is mad liquid. His younger sister a radiographer is in the UK. Their baby of the house, na Facebook she meet the person wey marry am, came in from the USA, wife am and carry am go. She don born three now....but they grew up even poorer than us..his mum fried those coconut chips they boil with sugar by the roadside, their dad got retrenched at some point from Nepa. Man was doing what he could, but na mum's petty business proceeds was at least 60% of what funded the family and Uncle Henry university bills for Ife. She was the one bringing in the bread for some time. Same in my family, for a good number of years my mum too was the one bringing in the bread, but in both cases our dads were doing whatever they could to add something, albeit little to the bread. Today, and for many years now sef, for both families, we are all nowhere near poor.

Say person poor today, no mean say he no fit bench you tomorrow. Seen it play out so many times, so I try as much as possible not to dismiss or despise those who are struggling.

Yeah. With Spanish the articles also follow the masculine and feminine stuff. It’s confusing but that’s what it is maybe I am wrong though I don’t know

Lol. I know about genders. De hecho, mi español es bastante bueno. I just don't think Carne is masculine like you said. It is La carne, not EL Carne.
Unless of course "EL Carne" is a Chilean Spanish thing.

Chile is good but if you decide to come here be prepared. If you decide to study here, make sure to come with enough money cause chile is expensive. It’s even more expensive than a lot of European countries aside the uk. Secondly, you have two years to figure out your life to be able to apply for permanent residency. That means a job in chile and you are paying taxes and contributing to their health insurance and pension systems.
