Is not about having friends. Is about being in midst of groups or bodies where relevant information is being discussed or heard. Try groups, especially in church. Or if you have someone at work, who is good with getting information or you know people who have the same common goal like you and are way above you, try connect with dem. Even online sef. Being friends is not the main thing, but having associates/network!

Me, i no get friends too.

I can swim for fun but not to safe myself grin
No extra money to socialise, so ile la wa.

I am well above average in the rest. I drive in Lagos cause I have car, and I am a good chef!

You guys are just overwhelmed by the word "socializing!" Its no big deal. Its not about having friends, but about getting real, credible information. As you are in nairaland now, you are socializing. Whatsapp groups is also socializing. Church groups is socializing too. Attending seminars, workshops, is socialising. Dat guy or girl in your workplace that has the same goal with you and slightly above you in information, you can link up with him/her, its socializing/networking.

You mustn't be friends or have friends. Just see dem as associates!
Greydebz:
4/5 .. it’s how to socialize that’s my issue 🥺

Knowing how to swim will not save you in the deep sea, even if you're an Olympic gold medalist. I bet you can't even name any plane crash on water where people survived because of swimming ability.

Bros you got it wrong, swimming is a survival skill.
If you watch this series on National Geographic channel, there's this series about plane crash, it's called "plane crash investigation".
In one of the episode, there was 8 pple onboard an helicopter, they where oil works, they work offshore. So on this particular day, they set out to go work on an oil rig offshore, as the took off on the helicopter, about 15mins offland the helicopter develop fault mid air, so the pilot immediately turn heading to land, unfortunately they couldn't get to land before the helicopter crash land on the sea, of all the pple onboard, there was only one survival.
According to the survival, when he was interviewed, he said as the helicopter crash into the water, the swam to the top of the sea and was able to located some of the helicopter debris, which he hang on before rescue operatives came.
In essence swimming is a survival skill abi should I narrate my own personal experience.

Debris/ floatation object saved him not swimming, if he managed to swim to safety then your argument would have legs.
