Hi all, I encountered issue while doing my PCC, the phone number linked to my BVN is an old one that is no longer in use. I have actually ed Union bank countless times to change the number but no resolution since, they kept saying my office will be in touch, this is going to 4 months now. Please house, is there any alternative one can do?

mumu9gerian: It depends on the command you apply. A friend reapplied in Abuja and it skipped the biometrics stage |

Badabada: Kindly go to the State CID you filled for your capturing. They won't send you any message/email |

I paid on the16th. Did capturing today. I was asked to pay 2k at the office which I did. I did not spend up to 20 minutes. Osogbo CID. I was told that I'll get the clearance certificate in my email after 6 hours. Just go to the State CID you filled once your application says biometric capturing (stage 3). They won't send you any email or sms for capturing. 1 Like |

Hello, I have a different surname on my bvn and my port due to a recent change of name.I tried applying for a PCC online but it keeps bringing the information on my bvn. I want the certificate to carry the name of my port. I went for a change of name on my bvn but its yet to be effected. Will my PCC have the name I'm seeing now or the one on my port if I go ahead with the payment without waiting for it to change on my bvn? |

I follwed the steps outlined here and my PCC on the second day after I applied online. (At Alagbon. FCID at Ikoyi). Tips:, At Alagbon bus stop, once you enter the street, enter the first police office building by the left, don't talk to anybody just ask for POSSAP office, it's straight down. Those people are corrupt beyond redemption. Imagine asking me to pay 10k for Biometric capturing after it has been clearly stated on the site that no further payment after the 30k online. I sha bargained and paid 3k with a lot of abeg (It took about 10 mins for the capturing). Even though you report to the ministry or authorities they won't do anything and these POSSAP staff will frustrate you. Also, go with the online invoice and photocopy of your port data page. As some as said above, don't wait for message or email, because they might not send it. Just proceed the second day after doing the registration online. |

Meenah01: I guess the information on your port is the valid one right? Why don't you apply for your PCC with your port then? PCC and port share data and as such the information on both must tally. BVN is the odd one out |

Pls those that did a change of name on their NIN, how long did it take it to change on the POSSAP portal. I have an with POSSAP but did a change of name on NIN 2 weeks ago and its yet to reflect on POSSAP. I called their customer service and they said my name hasn't changed even though I've used it for immigration, and bvn. I really don't know what to do

Meenah01: 7:44pm On May 02 |
internationalman:But its not possible to use port right, its either NIN or BVN. |
internationalman(m): 7:59pm On May 02 |
Meenah01: I did mine without BVN. I did it with NIN and and port number. The information on your international port contains your NIN, while the information on PCC contains your port number.. So you only need BVN to do your NIN but not PCC. As long as the information on your NIN is what you want it to be, you are good to go on your PCC |
